Prime Video has confirmed that the popular adult animated musical comedy Hazbin Hotel will wrap up with its fifth season. The announcement came during a panel at LVL UP Expo in Las Vegas on April 25, 2026.
Fans who were worried about the show getting canceled can take a deep breath. The series is not being cut short. Instead, Season 5 is the planned ending that creator Vivienne Medrano always had in mind for Charlie Morningstar and her hotel crew.
Five Seasons Is a Plan, Not a Cancellation
Many viewers saw the news about Season 5 being the final chapter and thought the show was ending too soon. But Medrano made it clear that this was always the intended length for the story she wanted to tell.
The show follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, who opens a hotel to help rehabilitate demons so they can go to Heaven. This type of story works better with a clear ending rather than dragging on for too many years.

The streaming service announced the renewal during the show’s packed panel at the Las Vegas convention. The final season will be available on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
What Fans Need to Know About the Remaining Seasons
Hazbin Hotel Season 1 first arrived on Prime Video in January 2024. The show quickly became a hit, leading to early renewals for Seasons 3 and 4 just months after the first season aired.
Season 2 came out on October 29, 2025. That brings the total episode count so far to 16 episodes across two seasons.
Season 3 is expected to arrive sometime within the next year. However, Prime Video has not announced a specific release date yet. Season 4 and Season 5 will follow after that.
The show comes from A24 and FOX Entertainment’s Bento Box Entertainment, the same animation studio behind other popular adult animated shows. Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, and Alex Brightman are part of the main voice cast.
