The Hirayasumi anime adaptation has released its second teaser trailer, a new key visual, and the main voice cast, giving fans a clear first look at the slice-of-life series before it premieres on NHK General TV in January 2027. The teaser follows Hiroto Ikuta, a 29-year-old part-timer living in Tokyo’s Asagaya neighborhood, as he goes through his daily routine. It also shows his bond with an elderly neighbor he calls Granny and the arrival of his cousin Natsumi, who moves in with him to study at art school. What the Second Teaser Trailer Shows
The second teaser trailer runs under two minutes and focuses on the quiet rhythm of everyday life in Asagaya. Hiroto rides his bicycle through narrow streets, shops for groceries, and shares meals with Granny. Who Voices Hiroto, Natsumi and Granny
Yuma Uchida leads the cast as Hiroto Ikuta. Uchida is known for voicing Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Ash Lynx in Banana Fish, and Reo Mikage in Blue Lock. In a statement shared by Variety, Uchida said:

Mayu Takahashi plays Natsumi Kobayashi, an 18-year-old from Yamagata who dreams of becoming a manga artist but keeps that ambition to herself. Takahashi finished second in the Kimi Koe Project, a voice actor training program, and her earlier credits include The Legendary Hero Is Dead! She said she felt she had never identified with a character so strongly upon reading the original manga.
Rikako Aikawa voices Hanae Wada, the 83-year-old neighbor known as Granny. Aikawa is a veteran performer whose roles span Squirtle in the Pokémon franchise, Oxnard in Hamtaro, and Ishishi in the Kaiketsu Zorori series. Her comment on the series captured its tone:

Naoyuki Asano serves as character designer. His credits include Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, Urusei Yatsura, and Mr. Osomatsu. Mika Nishimura is the art director, with past work on Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction and Typhoon Noruda. Kaori Sawada composes the music, with credits including What Did You Eat Yesterday? and When Spring Comes.
Hirayasumi Release Schedule and Episode Details
