The show averaged 6.5 million U.S. viewers per episode. Episode 8 was the most watched episode in the L3 timeframe, with episodes generally pulling in between 2.2 million and 2.5 million U.S. viewers.
The Hollywood Reporter noted that the show was averaging 5.8 million cross-platform viewers per episode since its March 8 premiere. The series is on track to be HBO’s most-watched first-year comedy in more than a decade.

What This Means for Season 2
The promotions of Mumolo, Salas, and Scovel suggest that Season 2 will focus more on the characters they play. Tommy and Cristle’s mother-son relationship will likely be a major storyline. The romantic tension between Cristle and Greg may also get more attention.
