Six Singles Under One Roof is officially coming back for a second season on tvN. The reality show’s production team confirmed the renewal shortly after the first season finished airing on June 12, 2026. The series became a ratings success, ranking No. 1 in its time slot among viewers aged 20 to 49 for every episode of its first season, according to Nielsen Korea.
The show follows six celebrities who have lived alone for years. The original cast included Jang Do Yeon, Lee Da Hee, Choi Daniel, Jang Keun Suk, Ahn Jae Hyun, and Kyung Soo Jin. These six individuals moved into a shared house in Seoul’s Gugi-dong neighborhood. Instead of focusing on romance, the show explores how adults who are used to living alone adapt to sharing a home and building friendships.
The Show’s Core Concept
Six Singles Under One Roof departs from typical dating reality shows. There is no competition or rivalry between the contestants. The series focuses on everyday life and the relationships that form when six strong personalities share a living space. Each cast member has established habits and years of experience living independently. The show documents their small daily moments and how they adjust to having roommates for the first time in years.
The production team explained their approach to the show’s renewal. “Rather than trying to conclude whether living together is good or bad, we simply wanted to comfortably show the real experiences of friends sharing a home,” the team stated. “Living together has both advantages and inconveniences, but we hoped to convey that this can be another way of living. We’re personally proud that viewers seemed to relate to and enjoy that aspect of the show.”
The team also expressed gratitude for the show’s return. “Thanks to the support and love from viewers, we are able to return with Season 2. We hope you’ll look forward to it.”
Where the First Season Left Off
The first season had ten episodes. The finale showed the cast’s final days together, their emotional goodbyes, moving out, and a sports day with guests. Viewers saw how the six individuals, from Jang Do-yeon to Jang Keun-suk, had grown during their time living together.
Throughout the season, the cast shared their struggles and joys of communal living. They dealt with differences in daily routines, food preferences, and personal space. The show captured both the awkward moments of cohabitation and the genuine connections that formed between the cast members.
What Season 2 Could Bring
As of now, tvN has not confirmed who will appear in Season 2. The format typically features six strangers living together, and the second season will likely have a new cast with different backgrounds and personalities.
The new season is expected to have around ten episodes, similar to the first season. The show’s renewal came quickly after the first season ended, showing the network’s confidence in the format. The production team has already started working on the next chapter.

Why the Show Connected With Viewers
Six Singles Under One Roof resonated with audiences because it reflected modern life. Many adults today live alone and enjoy their independence. At the same time, many experience loneliness and miss the sense of community that shared living can provide.
The show did not force romance or drama. It simply let real people interact in a real setting. The cast were all adults in their 40s with established careers and lives. Their experiences felt more genuine and relatable to viewers than younger participants on other reality shows.
Six Singles Under One Roof Season 1 is available for streaming on tvN’s platform. Viewers can catch up on all episodes before the new season arrives. There is no release date yet for Season 2, but the show is officially in production.
