Season 4 picks up right after the big festival. Tempest is growing fast, but new problems are showing up. A new enemy named Granville Rozzo and his granddaughter Maribel Rozzo want to control humans to protect them. This puts them on a crash course with Rimuru. At the same time, other powerful demon lords like Leon are working on their own secret plans.

The production team behind the anime noted that there are “scheduling reasons” behind the choice to air a recap event instead of the planned Episode 5.

Episode 5, titled “The Eve of Battle,” will now air on May 8, 2026. This pushes back the rest of the May schedule by one week. Fans should check official sources for any other schedule changes as the season continues.

Where to Watch Season 4 Around the World

Crunchyroll is the main streaming home for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4. The platform offers simulcasts, meaning new episodes become available at the same time as they air in Japan. Crunchyroll streams the show in:

  • North America (United States, Canada)
  • Central and South America
  • Europe
  • Africa
  • Oceania (Australia, New Zealand)
  • Middle East
  • CIS territories

For viewers in India, the episode releases around 7:30 PM IST every Friday. United States viewers on the West Coast can watch at 7:00 AM PT. United Kingdom fans get the episode at 3:00 PM BST.

The service also has all three previous seasons of the show. Fans who want to catch up or rewatch can find the complete series on Crunchyroll. An English dubbed version of Season 4 has not yet been announced, but previous seasons received dubs after the subtitled versions aired.

What to Expect From This Season’s Story

Season 4 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime covers material from the light novels starting at volume 10. The story moves toward bigger conflicts. Rimuru has built Tempest into a successful nation. But success brings new attention. Powerful figures in the world see Tempest as a threat or a tool to use.

The main conflict this season involves Granville Rozzo and his plan to protect humanity by controlling it. He does not see monsters as equals. His granddaughter Maribel Rozzo has her own mysterious powers and goals. Meanwhile, the other demon lords are gathering. A new hero is also said to be waking up soon. All these events point toward a major meeting called Walpurgis, where the demon lords discuss important matters.

The first few episodes focus on Tempest dealing with its new dungeon and growing pains. Episode 1, “New Days,” showed the festival’s success and the first signs of trouble. Episode 2, “The Dungeon Evolves,” dives into how the dungeon is changing and causing unexpected problems.

More Episodes Coming After September 2026

The 24 episodes airing from April to September 2026 are only the first two parts of Season 4. Three more cours will air later. The total number of episodes for the full season could reach around 60. That would make Season 4 almost as long as the first three seasons combined.

Release dates for parts 3, 4, and 5 have not been announced yet. The team will likely take breaks between each cour. Fans should expect Season 4 to continue into 2027. This long format allows the anime to cover more of the original light novel story without rushing.

The light novel series ended in late 2024 with 23 volumes. The first three seasons of the anime covered nine volumes. Season 4 starts from volume 10. If the season really has around 60 episodes, it could get through several more volumes and bring the story much closer to the ending.

Rimuru’s Journey Continues With Same Voice Cast

Miho Okasaki returns as the voice of Rimuru Tempest. The animation studio 8-Bit is back to produce the season. The same creative team that worked on previous seasons is in charge, keeping the look and feel consistent for longtime fans.

A second movie, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea, is also coming. It will open in theaters worldwide starting April 28, 2026 in some countries and May 1, 2026 in the United States and United Kingdom. The movie will tell a new story separate from the main season plot.
