Fisher was talking about David Tennant’s character Gianpiero, who appears in the final scene of Season 2. Anne decides to move to Italy at the end of the season, setting up a possible romance with Tennant’s character.
The creators have a strong track record. Fisher and Wigfield worked on shows like 30 Rock and The Mindy Project with Fey. Their history of making hit comedies gives fans hope that Netflix will say yes to more episodes.
