Episode 9, titled “Lv9: Unprecedented Hope,” aired on August 19, 2026. The episode centered on Koji Kagami and his companion Menow as they reached the deepest part of the underground.
The legendary monster Dark Dragon finally appeared before them. The Dark Dragon recognized Kagami’s strength. It presented him with an “ultimate choice”.
Kagami refused to accept the fate that was offered to him. He decided to fight the Dark Dragon to protect the bonds he shares with his important companions.
During the battle, Esterra suddenly appeared. Her arrival changed the situation. The episode ended with uncertainty about whether Kagami and Menow could return to the surface safely.
The Story So Far
The Villager of Level 999 is set in the world of Earthclear. People are born with fixed roles and levels in this sword and magic world. The villager role is considered the weakest. Most villagers never rise above Level 5.
Koji Kagami is different. He reached Level 999 despite being born as a villager. During a monster hunt, he met Alice, the Demon King’s daughter. They discovered they share a dream: peaceful coexistence between humans and demons.
