Ramón Rodríguez Leads as Will Trent After a Shocking Loss

Ramón Rodríguez returned as the lead character, GBI Special Agent Will Trent. The episode picked up right after the death of Amanda Wagner, played by Sonja Sohn, who was killed in the previous episode. Rodríguez showed Will in a state of shock and deep sadness. He refused to leave Amanda’s side at the crime scene and even closed her body bag himself. Later, he got into an argument with acting Deputy Director Bill Appleyard, played by Jason Davis, who tried to take over Amanda’s office too quickly.

The episode also pushed Will to his limit while hunting Adelaide Clemens, the person responsible for Amanda’s death. Rodríguez also directed this episode, making it his first time directing the show. In the final act, Will came face to face with Adelaide and made the choice to shoot her after seeing she had a hidden gun. He also saved his Uncle Antonio, played by John Ortiz, who had been kept prisoner.

Erika Christensen and Iantha Richardson Support the Team

Erika Christensen played APD Homicide Detective Angela Polaski. As one of Will’s closest friends, Angie stayed by his side during the hard moments. She was the one who told Will they needed to step back and let the crime scene team do their work. Christensen’s performance showed Angie as a steady and caring presence.

Iantha Richardson returned as GBI Special Agent Faith Mitchell. The loss of Amanda Wagner was very personal for Faith because Amanda was her mother’s best friend and helped raise her. Richardson showed Faith’s pain as she said goodbye to the woman she called “Aunt Mandy.” She also worked hard with the team to track down the killer. LisaGay Hamilton joined as a guest star playing Evelyn Mitchell, Faith’s mother. Evelyn came to the morgue to say her final goodbye to her best friend.

Jake McLaughlin and Kevin Daniels Join the Hunt

Jake McLaughlin played APD Homicide Detective Michael Ormewood. He teamed up with Will to question a suspect named Commander, who was part of Adelaide’s group. McLaughlin showed Ormewood as determined to find justice for Amanda.
