The penultimate episode of Doc season 2, titled “Stuck,” aired on April 14, 2026, and delivered a high-stakes medical crisis. A fast-moving virus spread through Westside Hospital, forcing Dr. Amy Larsen and her team into an emergency lockdown. Viewers watched as Amy risked her own life to save her colleague Dr. Richard Miller and other infected patients.
The episode set up the two-hour season finale, which continued with “Happy Birthday.” Molly Parker led the cast as Dr. Amy Larsen, a doctor who lost eight years of her memory after a car accident. This season, she has been rebuilding her career and personal life while facing new challenges at the hospital.

Episode Plot Highlights
Episode 21, “Stuck,” began with a patient named Rob Baker dying from a viral hemorrhagic fever. Amy discovered it was the Marburg virus, which had developed into a strain more dangerous than Ebola. The sixth floor went into immediate lockdown. Richard, Liz, Gina, and Nurse Lucy were all quarantined after direct contact with the patient.
Amy experimented with different antidote combinations to fight the virus. One mixture showed positive effects on Richard but caused his body to start failing. While trying to save him, Amy got accidentally stabbed with a contaminated needle and became infected herself.
The episode ended with Amy in critical condition as the team prepared for a final treatment using Richard’s blood, which now carried the necessary antibodies.
