When and Where to Watch Season 2
The Librarians: The Next Chapter Season 2 is set to premiere on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 9:00 PM ET/PT on TNT. The season will consist of 12 episodes and will air weekly.
In the United States, the series will be available to watch on TNT. This marks a homecoming for the franchise, as the original The Librarians series also aired on TNT. Viewers can also stream episodes through TNT’s digital platforms or by logging in with their cable provider.
What to Expect in Season 2
Season 2 continues to follow the team led by Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan) as they work to contain the magical chaos he accidentally unleashed across Europe. This season, the stakes are higher, and the team is pushed to their limits.

The Arrival of Merlin
A major plot point this season is the arrival of a mysterious man claiming to be the wizard Merlin, played by The Lord of the Rings star Dominic Monaghan. The season premiere will see the team investigating a mysterious outbreak of rage at a boarding school, where they first encounter this enigmatic figure. Merlin’s presence challenges the very foundation of the Library and tempts the team to break its most sacred rules.
Classic Villains and New Threats
Throughout the season, the team will battle a variety of iconic threats, including a chaos-unleashing genie, a sinister new version of Peter Pan, and a Monkey’s Paw that forces them to confront their personal pasts. The trailer has also revealed the return of original series characters Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth) and Jacob Stone (Christian Kane), who join the fight against these powerful enemies.
