Druski is officially heading to Studio 8H. The 32-year-old comedian and content creator will make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on November 7, 2026, becoming the first digital content creator to host the show in its 52-year history. The Strokes will serve as the musical guest, marking their fifth appearance on the NBC sketch series.

NBC confirmed the lineup on Thursday, October 22, just over a week after Puck News first reported the news. Druski shared the announcement with his 13.6 million Instagram followers, writing a short message that set the tone for the episode.

“IM HOSTING SNL. GET YA POPCORN READY.” — Druski, on Instagram

A First for SNL

SNL has welcomed social media stars as cast members before, including Jeremy Culhane, Grace Reiter, and Veronika Slowikowska. The show has also booked influencers as hosts, with Kim Kardashian coming closest in October 2021. Druski is the first host whose career began and grew entirely on digital platforms before stepping into the hosting role.

The booking has opened a debate about what counts as a “digital creator” host. Some fans pointed to Quinta Brunson and Issa Rae, who built online followings before moving to television. Druski’s case stands apart because his scripted Netflix series Collect and Praise does not arrive until December, after his SNL episode.

From Instagram Sketches to Studio 8H

Druski, whose real name is Drew Desbordes, started posting comedy videos on Instagram in 2017. He gained attention with his “frat bro” character Kyle Rogger and later with sketches about record label executives and megachurch pastors. His Coulda Been Records content turned into a sold-out comedy and music festival called Coulda Fest in fall 2024, which expanded into an arena tour in 2025.

A Drake music video changed his career path. Druski appeared in the “Laugh Now Cry Later” visual in 2020 alongside Lil Durk, Marshawn Lynch, Kevin Durant, and Odell Beckham Jr.

“The thing that changed my life at the time was Drake calling for the ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ music video. Everything shifted after that because brands started to take me seriously.” — Druski, to The Diary of a CEO

Earlier this year, Druski became the youngest host in BET Awards history at 31, surpassing Kevin Hart’s record from 2011. He is also set to co-host Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2027 in Chicago.

Reactions poured in quickly after Druski posted the announcement. Drake, Travis Scott, and Quavo were among the first to respond.

“So f—king proud.” — Drake, in the Instagram comments

“N—A WE MADE IT. I WILL BE THERE. !!!? CANT MISS THIS.” — Travis Scott

“That boy good!” — Quavo

Fan comments under the post showed similar energy, with one user writing, “That Druski monologue about to be outlandish,” and another adding, “THE STROKES AND DRUSKI HOLY W.”

The Strokes Return With New Music

The Strokes released their seventh album, Reality Awaits, on July 24, 2026, their first record in six years. The New York band is on a global tour supporting the album, with stops that included Red Rocks, two nights at London’s The O2, and a hometown show at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on October 2.

The band previously played SNL in 2002, 2006, 2011, and 2020. Their 2020 appearance came on a Halloween episode hosted by John Mulaney, who returns to SNL the week after Druski on November 14 with musical guest Phoebe Bridgers.
