Disney+ has shared a first look at five key supporting players from its upcoming fantasy romance series The Remarried Empress. The new stills, released on October 30, 2026, introduce the loyal aides, scheming nobles, and figures from the past who will shape the political and personal battles inside the imperial palace. The show is set to premiere on November 4, 2026, on Disney+ and Hulu.

Five Supporting Characters Join the Imperial Court

The newly released images focus on characters who surround the four main leads. Each still offers a clear sense of their role in the story, from trusted confidants to dangerous opportunists.

Lee Bong Ryun plays Countess Eliza, the head lady-in-waiting of the Western Palace. Eliza stays by Empress Navier‘s side through every trial. Calm and composed, she watches over Navier with a loyalty that feels like family. At different moments, she acts like a mother and an older sister to the empress, guiding her through the complicated intrigue of the imperial court.

Choi Dae Hoon appears as McKenna, the cousin and personal secretary of Prince Heinrey. McKenna is the only person who can scold the free-spirited prince. His constant worry over Heinrey’s unpredictable behavior comes from a place of genuine family concern. Their informal, comfortable dynamic is expected to bring moments of lightness to the series.

Nam Yoon Ho takes on the role of Baron Lante, the secretary of Emperor Sovieshu. Lante manages all imperial affairs, large and small, with a disciplined and meticulous attitude. Because his work involves the empress, he often crosses paths with Eliza. How the two respond when the emperor and empress face turbulence in their marriage is one of the quieter tensions to watch.

Jung Young Joo plays Lady Albani, a noblewoman who adopts Rashta as her daughter. Albani’s goal is to restore her fallen family’s power and fortune. She works relentlessly to isolate Empress Navier, and her alliance with Rashta is driven by separate ambitions that could create fresh conflict in the imperial court.

Park Ho San rounds out the group as Viscount Lotteshu, Rashta’s former master. He holds intimate knowledge of the secret past that Rashta desperately wants to keep hidden. Just as Rashta begins to build a new life, Lotteshu arrives at the palace, putting her relationship with the emperor at serious risk.

What the Story Is About

The Remarried Empress follows Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire. Her life is shattered when her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, declares his love for Rashta and demands a divorce. Navier does not simply accept the humiliation. She agrees to the divorce on one condition: she must be allowed to remarry. The man she chooses is Prince Heinrey of the rival Western Kingdom. Her decision turns a personal betrayal into a political move that could change the balance of power between two empires.

The story mixes romance, palace intrigue, and questions of dignity and self-determination. Navier’s journey from a scorned wife to a woman who takes control of her own future is the emotional center of the series.
