The popular drama “A Hundred Memories” has released a special new poster showing the main characters reunited after seven years. The poster features Kim Da Mi, Shin Ye Eun, and Heo Nam Jun walking together and smiling, signaling a new chapter in their complicated story of friendship and first love. The poster’s caption, “Our story isn’t over yet,” hints that their emotional journey is far from finished.
The JTBC drama, set in the 1980s, tells the story of two bus attendants, Go Young Rye (Kim Da Mi) and Seo Jong Hee (Shin Ye Eun), and their shared first love, Han Jae Pil (Heo Nam Jun). The first part of the story ended with a dramatic separation after Jong Hee disappeared. The new poster and story developments begin the second part of the drama, which jumps forward seven years in time.
What Happened Before the Time Jump
The events leading to the separation involved a workplace strike and a sudden act of violence. After a fellow bus attendant was injured, Young Rye led a strike that resulted in a victory for the workers. However, this made her a target for the labor manager, Noh Sang Sik.
In a heated confrontation, the manager physically attacked Young Rye. Jong Hee witnessed this and intervened to protect her friend, using a fountain pen as a weapon. Knowing Jong Hee would face serious consequences, Young Rye desperately told her to run away. Jong Hee then disappeared without a trace.
Complicating matters, Jong Hee had also discovered that Young Rye had feelings for Jae Pil. Because of this, Jong Hee chose to break up with him. Jae Pil only understood her reasons much later. Their missed connections and Jong Hee’s sudden departure left deep emotional wounds on both Young Rye and Jae Pil.
A Glimpse at Life Seven Years Later
The story now moves forward seven years, showing how the characters have changed. Go Young Rye has achieved her dream of becoming a hair designer at a salon. Han Jae Pil has reconnected with her there, and the two are now in a romantic relationship.
The special poster captures the three main characters as adults. They are shown walking side-by-side under a bright sun with the ocean behind them, all smiling brightly. This image of their reunion suggests that the bonds from their youth are still strong, despite the past misunderstandings and pain.

The production team behind the drama shared that the characters’ previous choices have left a lasting impact on each other. They stated, “Young Rye, Jong Hee, and Jae Pil each made choices that left deep marks on one another. While Young Rye and Jae Pil have continued their relationship, Jong Hee’s return reignites the unfinished story of their youth.”
How the Characters Have Changed as Adults
The actors have shared insights into how their characters have evolved in this new chapter of the drama.
Kim Da Mi, who plays Young Rye, said that her character has become more resilient. She asked viewers to pay close attention to the choices Young Rye will make as an adult. She mentioned, “In the second half, you’ll see a more resilient Young Rye. While the first half focused on pure emotions, the second half will explore a wider range of deeper, more complex feelings.”
Shin Ye Eun teased a significant transformation for her character, Jong Hee. She remarked, “In the second half, Jong Hee returns in a completely unrecognizable form. While the first half reflected youth and healing moments, the second half centers on complicated events and emotional dynamics between the characters.”
Heo Nam Jun, playing Jae Pil, discussed the characters’ growth into adulthood. He added, “After seven years, the three characters have grown into adults, busy with their own lives. It tells a story of love and friendship of these grown-ups who are still clumsy and inexperienced when it comes to love.”
