The final chapter of the science-adventure anime is set to begin this spring. The staff for Dr. Stone: Science Future (Season 4) released the main promotional video, a key visual, and additional cast information for the third and final cour on March 5, 2026 .
The third cour will premiere in Japan on April 2, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX and other networks . This marks the conclusion of the anime adaptation of Riichiro Inagaki and Boichiโs popular manga.
Main Promotional Video Reveals Story and Theme Song
The main PV offers an extended look at the upcoming episodes. The video confirms that the rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation performs the opening theme song, titled “Skins” . The band wrote the song specifically for the anime, and it plays throughout the new trailer .
The footage shows Senku Ishigami and Dr. Xeno joining forces to build a spacecraft. Their goal is to travel to the moon and confront the mysterious entity known as Why Man . The trailer also previews the challenges the Kingdom of Science will face, including the pursuit by Stanley Snyderโs forces .
New Character Sai and Cast Details
The third cour introduces a new character named Sai, who is the older brother of Ryusui Nanami . Described as “the strongest mathematical mind in humanity,” Sai is a genius mathematician who becomes a crucial figure for the moon landing project . Voice actor Seiichiro Yamashita has been cast in the role .
Several core cast members are returning for the final cour. Yusuke Kobayashi leads the cast as Senku Ishigami, joined by Makoto Furukawa as Taiju Oki, Kana Ichinose as Yuzuriha Ogawa, Manami Numakura as Kohaku, and Gen Sato as Chrome .
Production Team and Special Screening Event
TMS Entertainment continues to produce the anime. Shuhei Matsushita directs the series, with series composition by Kurasumi Sunayama. Yuko Iwasa returns as character designer . The music is composed by Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi, and Yukihiro Kanesaka .
A special advance screening event is scheduled for March 21, 2026, at TOHO CINEMAS Hibiya in Tokyo . The event will feature episodes 25 through 27 and include appearances by the voice cast. The screening will also be live-streamed to five other theaters.

The Dr. Stone anime first premiered in 2019. The fourth and final season, Science Future, is split into three cours. The first cour aired in January 2025, followed by the second cour from July to September 2025 . The third cour will now conclude the story in April 2026.
The series adapts the manga written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022 . The story follows Senku Ishigami as he works to rebuild civilization using science after humanity is mysteriously turned to stone.
The new episodes will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll starting April 2 for audiences in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the CIS . Crunchyroll also streams an English dub of the series .
