Kim Soo Hyun’s attempt to clarify his past with Kim Sae Ron has backfired, sparking more questions than answers. With new claims and alleged proof surfacing from Garo Sero Institute (Ga se yeon) and Kim Sae Ron’s family, the actor’s credibility is under intense scrutiny.
Agency’s Statement and Contradictions
On March 14, Gold Medalist, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, stated that he and Kim Sae Ron dated from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, after she turned 18. They denied any relationship when she was a minor. The agency also addressed photos shared by Gaseyeon and Kim Sae Ron, claiming they were taken in winter 2020, citing an outfit Kim Sae Ron wore that was released in June 2019.
However, this statement raised more questions. Netizens noted the inconsistency about the relationship ending in “fall” versus “winter” 2020. They also questioned the evidence, arguing the outfit could have been available earlier.
Gaseyeon criticized Kim Soo Hyun’s changing statements. They stated,

Gaseyeon revealed Kim Sae Ron’s mother has private photos of Kim Soo Hyun, including one where he is shirtless while washing dishes, but chose not to release them.
Gaseyeon stated,
“Kim Sae Ron’s mother read that Kim Soo Hyun is showing signs of anxiety and was worried that releasing more proof could push him into making an extreme decision. This proves that the family, despite everything, still cares about his well-being.”

She added,

Kim Soo Hyun’s initial denial, “The pictures circulating online seem to be from when we were in the same agency. I have no idea why she is doing this,” now contrasts sharply with his agency’s admission of a past relationship.
