What Happens in Episode 5
The official synopsis for Half Man Episode 5 states: “Niall and Ava face major life changes as Ruben struggles with his relationship. An impulsive choice between Mona and Niall has serious consequences for all involved”.
The episode centers on Niall’s wedding, which should be a happy day. But his estranged brother Ruben shows up uninvited. What happens next turns the celebration into complete chaos.
Richard Gadd plays Ruben Pallister, and Jamie Bell plays Niall Kennedy. The show uses flashbacks to show how these two brothers who are not related by blood ended up hating each other so much. The fifth episode goes back to the 1980s to show the key moments that broke their bond.
Episode 4 ended with a huge shock. Ruben’s seemingly dead body was wheeled out of a barn after a major fight between the brothers. Niall had just realized that while his life fell apart, Ruben was living a successful life with a good job, a nice home, and a happy marriage. Episode 5 picks up right after this moment.
