The upcoming fantasy anime I Became a Legend After My 10-Year-Long Last Stand has shared new music details as the show gets ready for its July 2026 release. The production team announced that the rock-idol girl group MEISHOHIKOKAI will perform the ending theme song for the series.
The song is titled “Ari Kitari na Nichijo to Koun na Hibi e,” which translates to “Onwards to Ordinary and Fortunate Days.” The choice of MEISHOHIKOKAI brings a rock-idol sound to the fantasy series, mixing energetic music with the show’s emotional story.

The anime follows a fighter named Luck (voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara). He chooses to stay behind alone to fight a demon army so his friends can escape. Through a mix of skill, luck, and quick thinking, he survives for ten years on the battlefield. When he finally returns, the world already sees him as a legendary hero.
The story comes from a light novel series written by Ezogingitune with art by DeeCHA. It first appeared online in June 2018 and later got picked up by SB Creative for print publication. Seven light novel volumes have been released so far. A manga version, drawn by Chako Abeno, has seventeen volumes out as of May 2026.
Anime Release Delayed to July 2026
The show was originally scheduled to launch in April 2026. But the production team decided to push the premiere to July 2026. The reason given is simple: they want more time to make the final product better for viewers.
The production house has stated the delay will help ensure the final work ends up being more enjoyable for the audience.
This extra time allows the animation studio Gekkou to polish the episodes. The team wants to deliver a high-quality adaptation that meets fan expectations.
Who Is Making the Anime
Hiroyuki Kanbe is directing the series at Studio Gekkou. He previously worked on Viper’s Creed. Mitsutaka Hirota, known for Edens Zero, is handling the series composition. Majiro, who worked on Macross Delta, is designing the characters.
