Disney+ is bringing its biggest young-adult fantasy series back just in time to fill the gap left by Netflix’s pirate adventure. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 is set to premiere on Friday, November 20, 2026, less than two months from now. The new season adapts Rick Riordan’s third book, The Titan’s Curse, marking the first time this story has ever been brought to screen. With Walker Scobell leading the cast and a fresh batch of demigods joining the quest, the show is stepping into its darkest and most ambitious chapter yet.

The timing places it directly against other major fantasy releases this fall, including Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 and HBO’s Harry Potter reboot. At the same time, Disney’s decision to license the first two seasons of Percy Jackson to Netflix for a three-month window has sparked fresh interest from viewers who may be meeting the series for the first time.

Percy Jackson Season 3 Episode Release Schedule and Titles

Unlike previous seasons, Disney+ is changing how it rolls out episodes. The season will open with a two-episode premiere on November 20, followed by two new episodes dropping each week on Disney+ and Hulu. The full season wraps on December 11, finishing before the Harry Potter series arrives on December 25.

Here is the complete episode list:

For viewers in India, new episodes arrive one day later on JioHotstar. In the UK, Canada, and Australia, the show streams on Disney+ under the same two-episode weekly format. The first two seasons remain available on Disney+ and Hulu for anyone who wants to catch up.

The Titan’s Curse Comes to Screen for the First Time

Season 3 follows the events of The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Riordan’s bestselling series. Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) goes missing, captured by forces tied to the Titan Kronos. Percy and Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri) must join a dangerous rescue mission that also involves saving the goddess Artemis.

The season introduces the Great Prophecy, which says one child of the “Big Three” gods — Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades — will either save Olympus or destroy it. Percy’s focus stays simple: get Annabeth back.

“It’s similar to how Grover’s disappearance affected him [in Season 2]. There’s not a question in his mind: ‘Let’s go get her back,’” Walker Scobell said at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

Scobell has also said Season 3 is the closest adaptation of Riordan’s books the show has done so far, a comment likely to please longtime readers who have followed the series since its 2023 debut.

Season 3 also brings in several new characters from Riordan’s books:

  • Jesse L. Martin as Frederick Chase

Why Disney+ Is Calling Percy Jackson Its One Piece Replacement

Netflix’s live-action One Piece has become a global hit. Season 2 pulled in over 37 million views and 302 million viewing hours in its first 28 days. The next season, covering the Alabasta arc, is not expected until 2027.

While One Piece is on break, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is filling the same space for fantasy fans. Both shows share similar themes: found family, choosing your own destiny, and standing up to corrupt authority. Both feature young heroes with special powers — Percy controls water as the son of Poseidon, while Luffy’s Devil Fruit abilities make him a unique fighter.

Disney has also helped push the comparison by licensing the first two seasons of Percy Jackson to Netflix globally from October 4 for three months. The move gives Netflix viewers a chance to watch the earlier seasons before Season 3 arrives on Disney+.

“It’s a season that isn’t just larger in scale, but darker, riskier, and charged with consequences too big to ignore,” Disney said in its official press release for Season 3.

Where to Watch Percy Jackson Season 3 Around the World

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 streams exclusively on Disney+ in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and most global markets. In the United States, episodes are also available on Hulu. In India, viewers can watch on JioHotstar one day after the Disney+ release.

The season consists of eight episodes. The first two seasons are currently streaming on Disney+ and Hulu, and also on Netflix for a limited three-month window that began on October 4.
