Stephen Colletti first grabbed attention as a reality TV star on Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. But he quickly proved he could do more than just be himself on camera. From his long run on One Tree Hill to a new comedy series coming to Netflix, Colletti has built a solid career worth checking out. Here are five of his best performances that deserve your time.

Everyone Is Doing Great (2021–Present)

This is Colletti’s most personal project to date. He co-created the show with his One Tree Hill co-star James Lafferty. Colletti also stars as Seth Stewart, writes, produces, and even directed one episode. The comedy follows four former co-stars who are also friends and lovers. They get pulled back together to deal with life’s strange and uncertain moments.

The first season came out on Hulu in January 2021. Now the show has moved to Netflix. The streaming service picked up the global rights for both seasons through a deal with Sony Pictures Television. Season 2 will make its worldwide debut on May 11.

The show has won awards at SeriesFest and the Mammoth Film Festival. Sony’s Paul Littmann praised the series for being raw, real, funny, and full of emotion. Season 2 brings in guest stars like Jamie Chung, Bryan Greenberg, and Aaron Staton.

One Tree Hill (2007–2012)

Most people know Colletti from this show. He joined One Tree Hill in Season 4 back in 2007. He played Chase Adams, a high school senior who transfers to Tree Hill High. Chase joins a group called Clean Teens focused on staying abstinent. His character dated Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) at first, which surprised many fans given their very different personalities.

Colletti started as a recurring cast member from Seasons 4 to 7. Then he became a main character for Seasons 8 and 9. He stayed with the show until it ended in 2012. Chase’s story went through a lot. He became a bartender at TRIC, the local music club. He dated Mia (Kate Voegele) and later Alex (Jana Kramer). At one point he even joined the Air Force. By the series finale, Chase owned TRIC but was still looking for love. Colletti appeared in 57 episodes of this beloved teen drama.

Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (2004–2005)

This is where it all started. MTV asked Colletti to appear on this reality show when he was still in high school. The series followed the lives of wealthy teenagers living in Orange County, California. It first aired in September 2004 and became a cultural hit.

Colletti appeared in the first two seasons as himself. The show focused on real friendships, relationships, and dramas among the friend group. His on-again, off-again connection with Kristin Cavallari became a central storyline that viewers could not get enough of. Years later, in 2022, Colletti and Cavallari started a podcast together called Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen. They revisit the show and share behind-the-scenes stories. Colletti received a Teen Choice Award nomination in 2005 for his role on the show.

White Horse Music Video (2009)

Taylor Swift picked Colletti to play her love interest in the music video for White Horse. The song comes from her album Fearless. The video tells the story of a young woman who discovers her boyfriend has been unfaithful. Colletti plays the boyfriend who lets her down.

Swift explained that she wanted someone who looked really sweet for the role. She said the guy in the video needs to look like someone who would never lie to you. The video got a lot of air time on CMT and other music channels. For many younger fans who did not watch Laguna Beach or One Tree Hill, this video was their first time seeing Colletti. The video remains one of Swift’s most emotional early works.

Hit the Floor (2013–2016)

Colletti took on a different kind of role in this VH1 drama series. He played Teddy Reynolds across six episodes. The show is set in the world of professional basketball dance teams. It focuses on the drama, rivalries, and relationships among the dancers and players.

Colletti appeared in episodes from Seasons 1 through 3. His character was part of the show’s mix of sports and soap opera style storytelling. Hit the Floor gained a dedicated fan base for its over-the-top drama and surprising twists. The role let Colletti show a different side of his acting range compared to the more grounded One Tree Hill. He shared screen time with actors like Logan Browning and Katherine Bailess during his time on the show.
