K-pop group THE BOYZ will keep performing as a nine-member team. The members announced on August 6, 2026, that they have signed a new group contract and will operate under a newly established label.
Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric are the nine members continuing together. Member New is not part of this new agreement.
What the Members Said
The group shared their excitement through an official statement. “We have all reached an agreement to continue our group activities as nine, and we have finalized the group contract to do so,” they said.
The members also spoke about their bond. “Our hearts have never changed from the very beginning — we all felt that the nine of us must stay together,” they shared. They added that they wanted to tell fans first about their decision.
Above all, they wanted to share their intentions with fans who have been waiting and worrying about THE BOYZ group activities.
A New System for Group and Solo Work
Under the new setup, the members will handle group and solo activities separately. The group’s activities will be managed by the new label. Each member will sign individual contracts with agencies that best fit their personal careers.
This allows them to pursue acting, music, or broadcasting on their own while still coming together for THE BOYZ group work. The members promised to cooperate closely to keep the group active.
“We will do our best in our respective positions while also giving our all to continue the precious time we have built with our fans as THE BOYZ,” they said.
Thanking the Fans
The group made sure to thank their supporters, known as THE B. “We sincerely thank our fans — THE B — for your unwavering love and support,” the members said. “We are working hard to repay you with great performances, so we ask for your continued support”.
The Contract Dispute Behind the Decision
This announcement comes after months of legal trouble. In February 2026, the nine members notified their former agency, One Hundred Label, that they were ending their exclusive contracts. They cited unpaid earnings and a breakdown of trust.
In April 2026, a court granted an injunction suspending their contracts with One Hundred Label. This allowed them to pursue activities while the legal case continued.
Member New did not take part in this legal action and is not part of the new group contract.

The group is now preparing for activities under their new label. Specific plans for future group work and schedules will be announced later.
The nine members have made it clear they want to keep their promise to fans. They prioritized securing the group’s future before finalizing individual contracts.
