The Korean Business Research Institute has published the movie star brand reputation rankings for June 2026. Koo Kyo Hwan took the top spot after a huge jump in his score. Park Ji Hoon and Jin Ki Joo secured the second and third positions. The rankings measure the public’s interest in 50 popular film actors.
Koo Kyo Hwan Claims First Place with Massive Score Increase
Koo Kyo Hwan ranked first in the June 2026 movie star brand reputation rankings. His total brand reputation index reached 10,396,316. This marks a 146 percent increase from his score in May.
Several factors contributed to his rise. High-ranking phrases in his keyword analysis included “Colony,” “Jun Ji Hyun,” and “Seo Young Cheol”. His related terms included “transform,” “flawless,” and “outstanding”. The positive-negative ratio analysis showed a 93.70 percent positive reaction rate.
The actor gained significant attention for his role as the villain Seo Young Cheol in the film Colony. The movie tells the story of people trapped inside a high-rise building during a zombie outbreak. It has already surpassed 5 million viewers at the box office.
The institute head, Koo Chang Hwan, explained the results. The link analysis for Koo Kyo Hwan’s brand highlighted high scores for “transformation,” “perfect,” and “one of a kind.”
Park Ji Hoon and Jin Ki Joo Secure Second and Third Places
Park Ji Hoon took second place with a brand reputation index of 9,578,276. His score rose by 31.29 percent compared to May.
His detailed scores included a participation index of 2,296,108. He also recorded a media index of 2,921,389, a communication index of 2,074,348, and a community index of 2,286,431.
Jin Ki Joo ranked third with a brand reputation index of 6,716,512. Her scores included a participation index of 1,975,933, a media index of 1,528,966, a communication index of 1,757,071, and a community index of 1,454,542.
Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Moo Yul Complete the Top Five
Jun Ji Hyun came in fourth place with a score of 6,427,048. The actress appears alongside Koo Kyo Hwan in the film Colony.
Kim Moo Yul rose to fifth place with a score of 5,380,920. His brand reputation index saw a significant increase of 498.43 percent.
