My Dearest Nemesis is based on the webtoon He’s a Black Dragon by Hye Jin Yang. The drama follows the love story of Baek Su-jeong (Ga-young) and Ban Joo-yeon (Choi Hyun-wook), who reunite after 16 years.
Baek Su-jeong is a hardworking team leader at Yongsung Department Store, known for her assertiveness. Ban Joo-yeon is the director of the strategic planning division and heir to the department store. Their history dates back to when they met online through a game. Joo-yeon, using the ID “Black Salt Dragon,” had a crush on Su-jeong, whose game ID was “Strawberry.” However, she rejected his confession.
Now, as boss and subordinate, their past comes back to the surface, creating a complex relationship.
Im Se-mi joins the cast as Seo Ha-jin, Baek Soo-jung’s close friend and a bar owner. Kwak Si-yang plays Kim Shin-won, the design department head. Ban Hyo-jung portrays Jeong Hyosun, Ban Joo-yeon’s grandmother, and Go Chang-seok plays Baek Soo-jung’s father.
