The long wait for the next chapter of the Golmaal franchise has finally ended. Director Rohit Shetty has officially confirmed that Golmaal 5 will arrive in theatres on January 8, 2027, bringing back the beloved comedy gang for another round of chaos and laughter. The announcement, made on September 19, 2026, also comes with a vibrant new motion poster that reunites the entire original cast, including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Sharman Joshi. Adding major star power to the mix is Akshay Kumar, who is set to play the antagonist opposite Ajay Devgn‘s Gopal.
Rohit Shetty Shares Motion Poster and Release Date
Taking to Instagram, Rohit Shetty shared a motion poster featuring the iconic Golmaal gang riding on a stretched-out motorcycle, a signature image from the franchise. The poster also carried the series’ famous whistle tune. Along with the poster, Shetty wrote a simple but powerful caption:

Akshay Kumar Joins the Cast as the Antagonist
The biggest surprise in the Golmaal 5 announcement is the addition of Akshay Kumar.
