GOLDMEDALIST Explains Kim Sae Ron’s Vacation Visit to Kim Soo Hyun’s Family Apartment and Strongly Denies Garosero Research Institute’s Misleading Claims
Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, GOLDMEDALIST, has stepped forward to clarify the nature of Kim Sae Ron’s visit to the actor’s apartment in 2018, firmly refuting claims made by the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute. The agency stated that the visit occurred while Kim Sae Ron was on vacation and that Kim Soo Hyun’s family was present at the time, dismissing allegations of a secret or romantic meeting.
Agency Clarifies 2018 Visit
Garosero Research Institute had previously brought attention to a photo purportedly showing Kim Soo Hyun and the late actress Kim Sae Ron drinking soju together late at night in June 2018, suggesting a relationship that began when Kim Sae Ron was still a minor. However, GOLDMEDALIST clarified that it was Kim Sae Ron who visited Kim Soo Hyun at his family’s apartment in the Seongsu Dong area. Importantly, the agency emphasized that Kim Soo Hyun’s family was present during this visit, and the two were not in a romantic relationship at that time.
Furthermore, GOLDMEDALIST stated that the individual in the photo circulated by Garosero was not Kim Soo Hyun. The agency also confirmed that Kim Soo Hyun had never visited Kim Sae Ron’s residence in Ilsan. At the time of the visit in June 2018, Kim Sae Ron was 19 years old, legally an adult.
Legal Action Against Garosero
In response to what they describe as ongoing harassment and defamation, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, GOLDMEDALIST, took further legal action by filing an additional lawsuit on April 1, 2025, against Kim Se Eui, the operator of Garosero. This lawsuit alleges a violation of the Stalking Punishment Act.
Kim Soo Hyun’s Press Conference
Prior to this, on March 31, 2025, Kim Soo Hyun held a press conference where he addressed the rumors surrounding his relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron. During the emotional press conference, Kim Soo Hyun acknowledged that he had dated Kim Sae Ron but clearly stated that their relationship began only after she had reached legal adulthood. He also firmly denied any involvement in Kim Sae Ron’s passing.
