BTS’s youngest member, Jungkook, has swapped his microphone for a spatula, serving his military duties as a cook. After enlisting in the South Korean Army’s 5th Division in December last year, alongside fellow BTS member Jimin, Jungkook has smoothly transitioned into his new role.
Jungkook’s current position allows him to utilize his culinary skills, a hobby he often shared with fans before his enlistment. He frequently shared his culinary adventures on Weverse and through personal live streams, preparing various dishes ranging from pasta to buckwheat noodles. His love for cooking, combined with his dedication and hard work, seems to have found a new outlet within the military, where he now serves his fellow soldiers.
On March 16, Jungkook provided fans with a much-anticipated update on Weverse, his first since enlisting. In his post, he assured fans of his well-being, stating, “I’m doing well. I’ve been working out a lot too. I’m doing a great job cleaning—up to the ceiling. I’m cooking well too. It’s already mid-March. I’ll see you again. I miss you a lot. Unity!”.
