The Final Story Arc Explained
The third part of Dr. Stone: Science Future covers the “Moon Mission” arc from the original manga. This is the last big story where Senku and his friends finally try to reach the moon and find out who or what turned every human into stone 3,700 years ago.
The story moves at a very fast pace. After being petrified again for seven years, Suika managed to bring everyone back. Now Senku has to catch up on lost time and finish building a spaceship using nothing but science and the resources available in the stone world. The team travels to India to recruit Sai, a math genius who is also Ryusui Nanami‘s brother. With Sai’s help, Senku finally builds a working computer to calculate the rocket’s path to the moon.
The opening theme song for this final part is “Skins” performed by Asian Kung-Fu Generation, a popular rock band known for many classic anime songs.
Voice Cast and Characters
The main voice cast returns to finish the story. Yusuke Kobayashi voices Senku Ishigami, the 16-year-old science fanatic who leads the Kingdom of Science. Manami Numakura returns as Kohaku, the strong fighter from Ishigami Village. Ryota Suzuki voices Ryusui Nanami, the skilled sailor who handles navigation.
New characters also join the final part. Seiichiro Yamashita, known for his role as Cid Kagenou in The Eminence in Shadow, voices Sai, the math expert recruited in India. Kenji Nojima continues as Dr. Xeno, the American scientist who now works with Senku.
