Kim Soo Hyun’s Agency Gold Medalist Demanded ₩686 Million Debt Repayment from Kim Sae Ron, Then Changed Tone After She Posted Their Photo Online, Leaving Netizens Shocked and Angry Over Threats Tied to Queen of Tears Drama
The internet is buzzing with disbelief after reports surfaced detailing a change in attitude from Kim Soo Hyun‘s agency, Gold Medalist, towards actress Kim Sae Ron following the online release of a photo featuring the two stars. Netizens are expressing strong disapproval over the agency’s apparent actions.
Debt Demands and a Sudden Change
According to media outlet Hankyung, Kim Sae Ron had received two certified letters from Gold Medalist regarding a loan of ₩686 million KRW (approximately $475,000 USD). The first letter, dated March 15, 2024, explicitly urged Kim Sae Ron, whose legal name is Kim Ah Im, to repay the loan, which was due on December 31, 2023. The letter stated that failure to repay would result in civil and criminal action.

Reportedly, Kim Sae Ron attempted to contact Kim Soo Hyun and the agency to request an extension for the repayment but received no response through texts or calls. Subsequently, on March 24, 2024, she posted a photo of herself with Kim Soo Hyun on social media, seemingly in an attempt to get the agency’s attention.
Following the photo incident, the bereaved family of Kim Sae Ron revealed the second certified letter, dated March 25, 2024. This letter showed a noticeable shift in the agency’s stance. While still urging debt repayment, the tone and reasoning had changed.
