Lillian Droniak, the 96-year-old social media star known as Grandma Droniak, claimed her retirement home threatened to kick her out for throwing late-night parties. The influencer, who has millions of followers, shared a video showing a formal warning letter from the facility. Despite the threat, she said she would keep having fun.

The Warning Letter That Started It All

Droniak posted a video on TikTok and Instagram on June 11, holding up a letter from her retirement home management. The letter said she would face eviction if she did not stop hosting parties.

“I’m getting kicked out of the nursing home. I just got this letter. It says you’re getting kicked out if you don’t stop the parties,” she told her followers.

The warning letter explained that noise complaints had been made about her room. It also said parties are not allowed and she cannot serve alcohol to other residents because it is a safety concern. The letter mentioned that security footage showed people leaving her room at 1 a.m. last Tuesday.

“While we encourage residents to socialize and enjoy community activities, we cannot have wild parties,” the letter read. It warned that continued incidents could lead to restrictions on visitors and a review of her residency status.

Droniak’s Defiant Response

The 96-year-old influencer did not take the warning quietly. In her video, she ripped up the letter and said she would continue her gatherings.

“I pay $12,000 a month to live here. I could party if I want,” Droniak said. She added, “My girlfriends are coming over tonight. We’re gonna drink and gossip. It’s not a party, but we do get rowdy.”

She ended her message with a clear statement: “I can’t help it. I love to party. You can’t stop me.”

The next day, on June 12, she posted another video showing herself looking into a mirror with a martini glass on her dresser. She wrote, “Hungover from last night’s party.” She also said, “My nursing home can’t stop me from partying through the last chapter of life.”

The Dispute Gets Resolved

A representative for Droniak confirmed to People magazine that the warning “actually happened.” However, they also said the matter has since “been resolved with her nursing home.”

The retirement home is now allowing her to have people in her room until late. The only change is that she cannot supply alcoholic drinks to her guests anymore. Her representative said the facility still cares for her and that people there love her.
