What Is Fightland About
The story centers on Maduka “Duke” Kilroy, a British boxer played by Howard Charles. On the night Duke becomes world heavyweight champion, a brutal attack kills his brother Calvin. Duke’s reaction to his brother’s death sends him to a US prison for eight years.
After his release, Duke makes a dark discovery. He returns to London wanting revenge against Kingsley Marshall (played by Nicholas Pinnock), his former promoter and a criminal kingpin. Duke believes Marshall set him up.
“On the night that British-born boxer Duke Kilroy becomes world heavyweight champion, a vicious assault leaves his brother, Calvin, dead. Duke is devastated and his reaction in the aftermath costs him eight years in a US prison.”
But Kingsley has disappeared. He left behind his wife Joy (played by Deborah Ayorinde), who also happens to be the love of Duke’s life. Joy now runs the family business with her children.
Duke teams up with a cartel that wants to control London’s drug market. He starts a dangerous plan to destroy Kingsley’s empire from the inside. The goal is to force his enemy out of hiding. Duke must use everything that made him a champion fighter to get revenge for his brother.
