The new Korean drama My Bias, My Boss arrived on August 3, 2026, and viewers are already talking about its cast. The show brings together a group of talented actors who bring this workplace romantic comedy to life.

The series airs on South Korea’s tvN network every Monday and Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. KST. International audiences can stream it on Viki and Amazon Prime Video.

Based on the popular webtoon My Oppa Is an Idol by Seong Eun, the drama follows a devoted fan who lands a job at her favourite idol’s company. But things do not go as planned when she meets her strict boss.

Here is a closer look at the cast and characters of My Bias, My Boss.

Kang Hoon as Kang Ha-gi

Kang Hoon takes on the role of Kang Ha-gi, the CEO of fashion startup Appello. Ha-gi built the company from the ground up and appears cold and distant to outsiders. But those who know him well see a caring man who values his employees.

Ha-gi is sharp and capable at work but awkward when it comes to love. He has not dated anyone in years. His life takes a turn when a new employee joins his company.

The character finds himself in a difficult position. He starts falling for the new employee while also suspecting she might be a spy from a rival company. This creates a push-and-pull dynamic that drives much of the show’s comedy.

Kang Hoon is known for his work in Hunter with a Scalpel, A Time Called You, and Dear Hyeri. Director Park Ji-hyun said Kang Hoon has both warm, puppy-like charm and a cool, composed presence, making him the right choice for this role.

Kim Hye-jun as Nam Da-reum

Kim Hye-jun plays Nam Da-reum, the newest member of Appello’s marketing team. Da-reum has been a devoted fan of the boy band D.N.X. for years, especially the group’s leader Lee Chan.

The music helped her through tough times, including years of hard study and competitive job hunting. So when she learns that Lee Chan co-founded Appello, she does not think twice. She quits her safe corporate job at SE Corporation and applies to join the fashion platform.

But her dream does not go as expected. Instead of working alongside her idol, she ends up reporting to CEO Kang Ha-gi. To make matters worse, she embarrassed Ha-gi twice before joining the company. She bumped into him and smudged makeup on his shirt. Then she accidentally hit him with an ice cube while drunk, giving him a bloody nose.

Kim Hye-jun is known for her work in action and thriller projects like A Shop for Killers and Cashero. She is also appearing in A Shop for Killers 2 on Disney+ at the same time. This marks her first romantic comedy role. She said she felt pressure but tried to bring out as much charm as possible in this role.

Cha Woo-min as Lee Chan

Cha Woo-min plays Lee Chan, the former member of D.N.X. who stepped into acting after the group disbanded. He is also a co-founder of Appello and a close friend of CEO Kang Ha-gi.

Lee Chan has spent years receiving love from fans without experiencing genuine romance. When he meets Da-reum and realises she has been a devoted fan for years, he starts seeing her differently.

Chan allows Da-reum to call him casually and even gives her his phone number. But complications arise when his ex-girlfriend and co-star begins chasing him obsessively.

Cha Woo-min has appeared in Melo Movie and other projects. This is also his first romantic comedy role. His character brings natural idol charm to the screen.

ITZY’s Yuna as Yoon Cho-i

Yuna, a member of the K-pop group ITZY, plays Yoon Cho-i in the series. She portrays a naturally beautiful actress who adds tension to the love triangle.

Her character is Lee Chan’s ex-girlfriend and co-star. She is expected to create problems between Chan and Da-reum. Yuna brings a fresh layer to the story by expressing her character’s dual sides, shifting between a shy smile and a piercing gaze.
