The secrets of the bunker are only the beginning. The first official poster for Paradise Season 2 has been shown, setting the stage for the next chapter of the hit Hulu drama. Alongside the poster, the streaming service confirmed the show will return on Monday, February 23, 2026. The announcements were made during a special panel at the Brazil Comic Con (CCXP) event in Sรฃo Paulo, featuring series creator Dan Fogelman and stars Sterling K. Brown and Shailene Woodley. The new poster and a teaser trailer give fans their first look at a dramatically expanded world, moving the story beyond the underground sanctuary that defined the first season.
Official Season 2 Poster and Its Meaning
The newly released key art poster focuses squarely on Sterling K. Brown’s character, Xavier Collins. It shows him standing at the open entrance of the bunker, looking back inside as he prepares to step out into the unknown world. The image captures the central conflict of the new season: the choice between the relative safety of Paradise and the dangerous truth of what lies outside.
The poster features a cryptic tagline that hints at a larger mystery: “It was never just about the bunker”. This line suggests that the story fans watched in Season 1 was merely the first piece of a much bigger puzzle. The origins and true purpose of the Paradise bunker city will be a major focus as the plot unfolds.
Paradise Season 2 Release Schedule and How to Watch
Mark your calendars for February 23, 2026. On that date, the second season will launch on Hulu with its first three episodes available to stream. Following this premiere, new episodes will be released weekly on the platform.
For viewers who subscribe to the Disney bundle in the United States, the new season will also be available to watch through Hulu on Disney+. International audiences will find the new season streaming on Disney+.
What Happens in Paradise Season 2?
The official story description for Season 2 splits the narrative into two parallel journeys. The first follows Xavier as he finally leaves Paradise to search for his wife, Teri, who he discovers may still be alive in the outside world. His mission is not only to find her but to learn how other people have managed to survive the three years since the catastrophic event known as “The Day”.
Sterling K. Brown explained the character’s journey to the CCXP crowd: “So three years, being in this isolated thing from the rest of the world, thinking that the rest of the world has been destroyed, that nobody else existed. Then I finally go out into the world and I see that people, they have survived”.
Meanwhile, back inside the bunker, the society of Paradise is beginning to fall apart. The events and revelations that closed Season 1 have damaged the community’s trust. As tensions rise, residents will start to uncover long-hidden secrets about why the city of Paradise was really built and who is truly in control.
Returning Cast and New Faces for the New Season
Sterling K. Brown leads the returning cast as Xavier Collins. He is joined again by Julianne Nicholson as the calculating Sinatra, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. Enuka Okuma returns as Xavier’s wife, Teri.
The season also introduces some surprising comebacks and new characters. Shailene Woodley joins the series in a major new role. Intriguingly, the teaser also shows the return of James Marsden as President Cal Bradford and Jon Beavers as Billy, two characters who died in Season 1, suggesting flashbacks or deeper mysteries about the bunker’s history. Thomas Doherty is also set to return as a recurring guest star.

The Creator’s Plan for the Series
Series creator Dan Fogelman has consistently said he envisioned Paradise as a three-season story. He has explained that each season is designed to feel like a distinct part of a larger tale, with its own style and focus while following the same characters.
“I have a plan for three seasons of the show,” Fogelman previously shared. “Each season of the show is a slightly different show, within the same show with the same charactersโฆ As we go into the second season, we pivot a little bit”.
This “pivot” is clear from the new poster and teaser. After a first season set almost entirely within the claustrophobic bunker, Season 2 dramatically opens up the world, exploring the devastated landscape and the survivors who have endured on the surface. The show is transitioning from a contained political thriller to a broader story of survival and discovery.
The first season of Paradise ended with the shocking revelation that Teri was alive and communicating from outside the bunker, prompting Xavier to make his daring escape. The new season picks up directly from that cliffhanger, answering some questions while undoubtedly posing many more about the true nature of the apocalypse and the future of humanity.
