The newest couple to join the experiment, Reiss and Leisha, made their first appearance among the other couples in the latest episode of Married At First Sight UK Season 10. Their visit to the apartment of Leah and Leigh provided the first public glimpse into their dynamic, leaving a strong impression on their fellow brides.

A Budding Relationship at Different Speeds
After returning from their honeymoon, Reiss and Leisha reflected on their time together. While Leisha feels she is falling for Reiss more each day, she confessed to not feeling the same level of enthusiasm from him. She recalled a moment during their trip where she asked if he was falling for her, to which Reiss responded, “Easy, girl. It’s been like two days.” This highlighted a key difference in their pace, with Reiss previously expressing that too much pressure could push him away.
Their journey began with an eventful wedding day. Leisha’s loud and excited energy was evident from the start, with Reiss admitting he found her “100 miles an hour” and hoping it wouldn’t turn into “1000 miles an hour.” At the wedding reception, Leisha and her bridesmaid questioned Reiss about his past relationships, which he later described as a “grilling.” Despite the challenging start, Reiss remained somewhat hopeful about building a connection, encouraged by their shared goal of wanting children.
Meeting the Neighbors
Before a dinner party, Reiss and Leisha decided to pay a visit to their neighbors, Leah and Leigh. The conversation was brief, with the new couple explaining they had just arrived from a 12-hour flight. When asked if they were a good match, a moment of silence passed before they answered, suggesting some uncertainty.
The meeting, however, made a significant impact. In her private thoughts, Leah shared her first impression, noting, “First impression of Reiss and Leisha is fit and fit. I can definitely see them being a few people’s types, including myself.” She later described Leisha as a “girl’s girl” who came off as quite friendly. Leigh, however, seemed to notice Leah’s flirting and expressed concern about her behavior.
Under the Microscope at the Dinner Party
The group dinner party intensified the scrutiny on the new couple. Leisha pointed out that they were the only couple not holding hands upon entering. Reiss quickly reminded her that she had previously asked him not to hold her hand, creating an early awkward moment.
Tensions rose further when Leigh questioned Leisha about her behavior on their flight home, specifically about her talking to another man for about an hour. Leisha defended herself, stating, “In my past relationships, that’s never been a problem.” Another participant, Julia-Ruth, jumped into the conversation, reminding Leisha that she had just returned from her honeymoon with Reiss. Feeling the pressure, Reiss stated that he felt disrespected by the entire situation.
A Look at the Cast
The tenth season of Married At First Sight UK features a diverse group of participants guided by experts Paul C. Brunson, Charlene Douglas, and Mel Schilling. The cast includes original couples like Leigh and Leah, Nelly and Steven, and Grace and Ashley, who were later joined by new “intruder” couples, including Reiss and Leisha, Abi and John, and April and Leo. The only couple to have left the experiment so far is Paul and Anita.
Leigh, a 30-year-old NHS Clinical Coder from Romford, is a self-proclaimed girly-girl with a feisty side who is looking for a partner with a dominant side. Leah, a 35-year-old business owner from Liverpool, realized at age 25 that she was more attracted to women and hopes to find a spontaneous partner who loves to laugh. Their relationship has been tested by public disagreements, including a recent social media argument about whether another bride, Rebecca, is Leah’s usual “type.”
Reiss, a 33-year-old painter and decorator from Essex, wants to be seen as more than just a “pretty boy” and is serious about commitment. His bride, Leisha, is a 31-year-old who works in the dental industry. Inspired by her parents’ long-lasting relationship, she is fiercely independent and ready to start a family.
The current season of Married At First Sight UK airs on E4 from Sunday to Wednesday.
