Summer is heating up as Love Island prepares to return with its eighth season. Fans of both the UK and US versions of the popular dating show now have official dates to mark on their calendars. The show follows single people living together in a luxury villa, pairing up and competing to find love while the audience votes on their favorite couples.
Peacock has set June 2, 2026 as the premiere date for Love Island USA Season 8. The new season will once again film in Fiji. Ariana Madix returns as the host after her successful run with the show.
Love Island USA Season 8 Premieres June 2 on Peacock
The US version of Love Island will start streaming on Tuesday, June 2 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock. The show previously set records with its seventh season, which gathered over 18.4 billion minutes of streaming on Peacock across six weeks. Season 7 became the most-watched streaming original TV season in the show’s history, showing a 150% increase in year-to-year viewers.
The premiere week will have new episodes streaming every day. After the first week, new episodes will stream six days a week, except Wednesdays. Each episode drops at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET. The companion show Love Island Aftersun will air on Saturdays.
New Aftersun Hosts Joining Ariana Madix
Ciara Miller, known from Summer House, and Tefi Pessoa, a popular content creator, will take over as the new hosts of Aftersun. This weekly recap show gives fans extra behind-the-scenes content and interviews with islanders. They replace previous hosts Maura Higgins and Sophie Monk.
The Love Island USA social media accounts announced:
“Two hot new bombshells are about to enter the Villa! Ciara Miller and Tefi Pessoa are officially hosting Aftersun for Season 8 of #LoveIslandUSA!”
Ciara Miller will spend her summer in Fiji for the show. She has also decided to leave Summer House after six seasons. She will now work alongside Ariana Madix, who also went through a public breakup on her show Vanderpump Rules.
UK Love Island Season 8 Cast Announced
The UK version of Love Island has already revealed its season 8 cast. Maya Jama returns as host for the Mallorca Villa. The new group includes a mix of people from different jobs including students, teachers, models, and a real estate videographer.
The confirmed UK cast members include:
Ope, 27, is a West End performer from Lincolnshire. He says he prefers shorter girls and likes partners with nice hair and smiles. Jasmine, also 27, runs a fashion business between Dubai and London. She stated that insecure men would not be able to handle her personality.
Adian is a property broker from Kent who has not dated much. He shared: “I haven’t really dated much and have only been on a couple of dates. So it hasn’t really taken off yet. Hopefully being in the Villa will turn things around.”
Lola, 28, works as a detective and wants a tall Italian partner. Samuel is an electrician from Dudley looking for a genuine connection. Angelista is a nurse from Staffordshire who wants a steady partner but does not like people who always need attention.
Other islanders joining include Samraj (a model from Birmingham), Ellie (a real estate videographer), Robyn (a quantity surveyor and DJ from Liverpool), Lorenzo (a business owner), Mica (a student from Barbados), and Sean (a primary school teacher from Galway).
US Cast Still Under Wraps
Unlike the UK version, Love Island USA has not yet announced its season 8 cast. Reports from earlier this year suggested that producers want to find people who are new to television and do not have much knowledge about how the show works. Casting directors are reportedly looking for people with big personalities and want to focus on confidence.
Industry sources expect the cast list to be released just days before the June 2 premiere. Last year, Peacock revealed the season 7 cast on May 29, 2025, only five days before that season began. Season 6 cast members were shown on June 4, 2024, a week before its June 11 premiere.

Viewers in the USA can watch Love Island USA Season 8 exclusively on Peacock starting June 2. The UK version airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX. For international viewers, streaming availability varies by region. Canadian viewers can watch on Crave, while Australian audiences can find the show on 9Now. Indian viewers can stream episodes on Lionsgate Play. UK audiences can watch both the UK version on ITV2 and the US version on ITVX.
The second season of the spinoff show Love Island: Beyond the Villa premiered on April 15, 2026 on Peacock. This show follows fan-favorite islanders from season 7 as they handle life after the villa.
