Shin Hae Sun is officially set to star in the upcoming SBS mystery romance drama Dash. The announcement came on June 1, 2026, during the network’s “SBS DRAMA: NEXT EPISODE” media event held in Seoul.
This new project marks the actress’s first role after finishing her romantic comedy Filing for Love, which ended on May 31, 2026. The final episode of that show scored a peak rating of 9.66 percent, proving her strong drawing power with audiences.
Shin Hae Sun Takes on Prosecutor Role in ‘Dash’
Shin Hae Sun will play Min Hwa Young, the head prosecutor of the Special Investigation Division 1 at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. Her character becomes a prosecutor for one personal reason, to find out the truth about her mother’s mysterious death.
Through sheer talent and determination, Min Hwa Young rises to one of the most powerful positions within the prosecution. But right when she is about to take on a big corruption case, her life falls apart. Her husband suddenly becomes the main suspect in a murder case.
The drama follows Min Hwa Young as she chases the truth about her husband while staying committed to justice. She finds herself caught between love and doubt, not knowing if the person she trusts is guilty or innocent.
The production team shared strong confidence in the casting.
“Shin Hae Sun was the only actress who could fully portray Min Hwa Young’s desperate and harrowing journey as she fights to uncover the truth, even at the cost of her own destruction.” โ Dash Production Team
What to Expect From the Mystery Romance Drama
Dash is a mystery suspense melodrama. The show mixes crime investigation with romantic tension. Unlike typical romance dramas where couples face outside problems, this story puts the marriage itself at the center of the crime.
The husband being named a murder suspect creates a major conflict for Min Hwa Young. She has to question her own judgment and feelings. Every clue she finds could point to the man she loves.
The SBS production team said the combination of Shin Hae Sun’s acting skills and the network’s experience in genre dramas will give viewers a powerful watching experience. They also mentioned that the show will “boldly dash into the hearts of viewers.”
Filming and Release Details
Dash is scheduled to air on SBS in 2027. An exact premiere date has not been set yet.
The drama is written by Damseo and directed by Kim Ji Yeon. As of June 2026, no other cast members have been announced. The production team is expected to share more casting news in the coming months.
For viewers outside Korea, SBS dramas typically become available on streaming platforms like Viki, Netflix, or Disney+ depending on distribution deals. Those details will likely come closer to the 2027 premiere date.
