The upcoming romantic comedy anime Rich Girl Caretaker: I’m Secretly the Caregiver of the Most Popular Girl in This Rich Kid School just added a new cast member. Ami Maeshima will voice the character Karen Asahi. She will also perform the show’s ending theme song.
The official website for the anime adaptation made the announcement on June 5, 2026. Maeshima is known for her work in the industry. She now takes on a dual role as a voice actress and a singer for this summer show.
The ending theme song is called “Kanpeki Janai Watashi” , which means “Imperfect Me”. The song will play at the end of each episode starting July 4, 2026.
The Story Behind the Anime
The anime comes from a light novel series written by Yusaku Sakaishi. Sakura Miwabe provides the illustrations. The story follows Itsuki Tomonari, a high school boy from a poor family. He gets caught in a kidnapping attempt. The target is Hinako Konohana, the daughter of one of Japan’s richest families.
After the incident, Hinako likes Itsuki. The Konohana family hires him. He must transfer to the elite Kiou Academy. His job is to be Hinako’s secret caretaker.
Here is the twist. Everyone at school thinks Hinako is the perfect rich girl. She seems smart, elegant, and charming. But in real life, she is lazy. She has no basic life skills. She cannot even change her own clothes. Her family has strict rules. So she must keep up the act at school. Itsuki’s job is to help her from the shadows and protect her true self.
The story follows their relationship. It starts as a formal master-servant agreement. But it slowly turns into something more romantic.

The band angela performs the opening theme song. The track is called “Saisaisaikokyu no Osewa shite” (Top Top Top Grade Caretaking).

Rich Girl Caretaker will premiere on July 4, 2026. The show airs late at night on TV Tokyo and BS Asahi. The exact time is 2:38 a.m. on July 5 effectively.
