Here is everything that happened on Y&R this week.

Victor’s Deal With Matt Clark

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) kicked off the week by making a controversial decision. After weeks of speculation about the fate of Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), Victor determined that he would use Matt as a weapon against Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

Victor proposed that Matt befriend Cane to spy on him and report back to Victor. In return, Victor would use his influence to have the charges against Matt dropped. Matt was initially afraid he would revert to his evil ways, but he eventually agreed to the deal after Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) reluctantly supported Victor’s plan.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) invited Cane to a meeting under the ruse of setting aside their differences. Adam introduced Matt to Cane as a family friend. Cane left open the possibility of meeting with Matt for drinks sometime, and Adam later reported to Victor that Matt was all in on their plan.

Victor Gives Arabesque to Phyllis

On Thursday, June 11, Victor made a shocking business decision that left Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stunned. Victor offered to give her what remained of Arabesque as a token of gratitude for saving Nick’s life.

The catch? Victor pressured Phyllis into giving her word that she would not expose Matt’s past misdeeds to those who did not know who he was. This deal effectively bought Phyllis’s silence while she worked to rebuild the remnants of Cane’s old company.

Phyllis and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) later made plans to rebuild Arabesque together, turning a new page in their professional lives.

The Newman Family’s Role in Matt’s Secret

Victor also called a family meeting to demand that everyone keep Matt’s dark history a secret from the people of Genoa City. He did not want anyone interfering with Matt’s mission to befriend Cane. The Newman family reluctantly agreed, though tensions remained high.

Later, Victor did the same with Phyllis, though less directly. By giving her Arabesque, he was not just rewarding her—he was also ensuring she would stay quiet about Matt while he carried out Victor’s assignment.

Malcolm Returns to Genoa City

Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) made his long-awaited return to Genoa City on Monday, June 8. Malcolm had been in New York recovering from his bone marrow surgery, and he returned to reconnect with his son, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens).

Malcolm surprised Stephanie and Holden while they were having lunch. His return gave him a chance to get to know his son better and also to settle some unfinished business with Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox).

Malcolm also reconnected with his niece Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and thanked Cane for donating bone marrow to save his life. Cane admitted that he donated partly to impress Lily but also because he harbored regrets about not being able to save his own father. Cane confessed to Malcolm that he was still in love with Lily and promised never to hurt her.

Stephanie Sticks Around Town

Stephanie Simmons announced that she had been offered a job as Chief of Staff at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. She was pleased when Holden was thrilled by the idea of her moving back to town.

Stephanie thanked Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) for getting her the job, but Nate told her he did not want to give up his role at Winters to return to the world of medicine.

Later in the week, Malcolm and Stephanie began settling their unfinished business, setting the stage for complicated emotions as they navigated their past and present relationships.

Noah’s Shadow Room Opens

Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) successfully hosted a soft opening of Genoa City’s version of The Shadow Room. The event brought together many of Genoa City’s biggest names to celebrate Noah’s new venture.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) led the toast to Noah and his club’s future success, pouring out positive energy and hope for what the new business would bring.

Serving as the solo bartender, Sienna was starstruck when Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) jumped behind the bar to assist her. The unexpected moment added a fun, lighthearted touch to the evening.

Cane and Lily’s Growing Connection

Lily asked Cane to run Chancellor Industries for her. She had just received the company back from Victor, and she wanted someone she trusted at the helm.

Cane accepted Lily’s job offer, but the news did not sit well with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Billy was livid when Lily informed him that Cane would be running Chancellor for her. He warned that Cane could not be trusted, but Lily stood behind her decision.

Later, Lily invited Cane to be her date at the opening of The Shadow Room. The two shared a passionate kiss on the dance floor, signaling that their romantic connection was far from over.

Nikki’s Health Concerns Grow

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) continued to struggle with her health throughout the week. She confronted Victor about allowing Matt to stay at the ranch, but as they bickered, Nikki was visibly struck with a painful headache. Her vision blurred as she staggered up to her hotel suite.

On Friday, June 12, Victor questioned Nikki about her health issues, asking if her headaches were related to her MS. Nikki did not want his “phony concern,” but Victor persisted, urging her to see a doctor.

Nikki also supported Nick through an important step in his addiction recovery group. Her focus remained on helping her son, even as her own health became a growing concern.

The Beyond the Gates Crossover Event

Several Genoa City residents traveled to Fairmont Crest for a major crossover event with Beyond the Gates. Victor, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Devon Winters (Bryton James), and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) all appeared on the sister soap for a multi-episode storyline.

The crossover centered on a political fundraiser for Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon). Unfortunately, disaster struck when a tornado hit Fairmont Crest, trapping the characters at the country club. The dangerous weather event put lives at risk and created chaos for everyone involved.

Adam and Billy continued their ongoing feud. Adam made a sincere effort to try to end the hostility between them, but Billy maintained that they would never stop hating each other. Their animosity remained as strong as ever.
