What Happened Before Episode 4

Perfect Addiction tells the story of two very different college students. Akihito Kuji is a university student who cares a lot about looks and physical pleasure. He cannot stand Sae Takatsuki, a handsome but cold classmate who is popular with girls.

The conflict begins when Akihito gets rejected at a singles mixer by a girl who only has eyes for Sae. This makes Akihito angry and frustrated. He decides to follow Sae to the hotel district.

There, Akihito discovers Sae’s secret. Sae is gay, but he struggles to find enjoyment or comfort in physical intimacy. Akihito sees Sae in a vulnerable moment, arguing with a man outside a hotel. Seeing Sae so different from his usual confident self, Akihito feels provoked and pushes him down.

Episode 1, which premiered on July 8, introduced these main characters and their complicated relationship. The episode showed Akihito’s obsession with looks and his growing frustration with Sae.

Episode 2, which came out on July 15, continued to explore the tension between the two characters. Akihito’s discovery of Sae’s secret pushed their relationship in a new direction.

Episode 3, which released on July 22, showed the two characters dealing with the aftermath of their encounter. The episode built on the emotional and physical tension between them.

The story follows how these two very different people try to understand each other. Akihito, who is used to getting what he wants, must now face someone who does not fit his usual patterns. Sae, who keeps people at a distance, must decide if he can trust someone new.
