Sarah Chalke Is Back as Elliot Reid

Donald Faison Plays Turk

Ava Bunn Promoted to Series Regular
Ava Bunn has been promoted to series regular for the new season. She plays Dr. Samantha “Sam” Tosh, a medical intern who was introduced in the first revival season as a wide-eyed newcomer under J.D.’s guidance. Tosh used social media to solve complex medical cases and survived a rocky first year.

Before Scrubs, Reyes was a trained dramatic actress who appeared in Law & Order, NYPD Blue, and The Sopranos. Her first major film role was in the independent feature Jack and His Friends opposite Sam Rockwell. After Scrubs, she starred in Devious Maids and Claws.
Neil Flynn Returns as The Janitor
Neil Flynn is back as The Janitor, now in a recurring capacity for the new season. His character made a brief return in the first revival season finale, revealing that Maintenance Guy is his son. Flynn was promoted to main cast billing in the original Scrubs Season 2, and his character became a fan favorite.
Flynn discovered his comic talents on the Chicago improv circuit before landing the role. He appeared in films like Magnolia and The Fugitive, and had guest roles on Seinfeld. After Scrubs, he starred as Mike Heck on The Middle for nine seasons.
Ken Jenkins and Dr. Kelso
Ken Jenkins played Dr. Bob Kelso throughout the original series. His return for the new season has not been confirmed, and TVLine reported that there is “still no word” on his involvement.
Jenkins had a long television career before Scrubs, including co-starring roles on Homefront and Wiseguy. He also appeared in The X-Files and numerous theater productions.
Rachel Bilson Joins as Charlie
Rachel Bilson returns as Charlie, a hospital visitor who hit it off with J.D. in the first revival season finale. She has been upgraded to a recurring role with a multi-episode arc. Showrunner Aseem Batra said the Charlie storyline will explore “what feelings does that kick up for Elliot”.
Bilson is best known for playing Summer Roberts on The O.C. and Dr. Zoe Hart on Hart of Dixie. She also appeared in How I Met Your Mother and films like Jumper.
Vanessa Bayer Returns as Sibby
Vanessa Bayer returns in a recurring role as Sibby, a hospital HR representative. Bayer is a former Saturday Night Live cast member who also starred in the comedy series I Love That for You and appeared in films like Trainwreck and Office Christmas Party.
The New Intern Class
Four actors return as recurring interns who were introduced in the first revival season. Jacob Dudman plays Dr. Asher Green, a British medical intern who struggles with bodily fluids and needles. Dudman previously starred in Netflix’s Fate: The Winx Saga and The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die.
David Gridley plays Dr. Blake Lewis, described as a loner medical intern under J.D. . Gridley has appeared in The Rookie and High Potential.
Layla Mohammadi plays Dr. Amara Hadi, a surgical intern under Turk who was homeschooled and sheltered for most of her life. Mohammadi is known for her role in Paramount+’s Lioness.
Amanda Morrow plays Dr. Dashana Trainor, another surgical intern under Turk. Morrow has appeared in The Devil Wears Prada 2 and drew inspiration from one of the legacy cast members for her character.
Robert Maschio as The Todd
Robert Maschio returns as Dr. Todd “The Todd” Quinlan, the high-fiving surgeon known for his inappropriate comments. Maschio appeared in 156 episodes of the original series. Before Scrubs, he had a small role on Spin City.
Michael James Scott as Nurse Dubois
Michael James Scott plays Nurse Francois Dubois. Scott is best known for being the longest-running Genie in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway. He has also appeared on General Hospital.
Christa Miller as Jordan Sullivan
Christa Miller returns as a guest star, playing Jordan Sullivan, Dr. Cox’s ex-wife. Miller is married to Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence in real life and also starred on The Drew Carey Show as Kate O’Brien. She later starred in Lawrence’s other shows, Cougar Town and Shrinking.
Tamera Mowry-Housley Guest Stars
Tamera Mowry-Housley joins the new season in a guest role as Dr. Steffie, a pediatric doctor who tries to convince Tosh to choose pediatrics as her specialty. She appears in the second of two episodes on premiere night.
Mowry-Housley is best known for starring alongside her twin sister in the 1990s sitcom Sister, Sister and for the Disney Channel movie Twitches. She has also been a regular on the Hallmark Channel.
Darcy Michael as Maintenance Guy
Darcy Michael plays Maintenance Guy, who was revealed to be The Janitor’s son in the first revival season finale. Michael is a comedian and actor who starred opposite Dave Foley in the CTV series Spun Out for two seasons.
Who Is Not Returning
Two actors from the first revival season will not be back. Joel Kim Booster played Dr. Kevin Park, and X Mayo played Charge Nurse Raymond. Their characters were written out ahead of the new season.
