“First of all, I just want to thank all the fans for tuning in and taking the Dexter: Resurrection ride with us,” Hall said. “We’ve been greenlit for another season. The writers room is assembling now, and details will be forthcoming. But I wanted to be the first to let you know that the story continues.”
This direct communication from the lead actor highlights the show’s commitment to its fanbase. The announcement, made in early October 2025, comes just over a month after the first season’s finale aired on September 5, 2025.

While specific plot details for Season 2 are being kept under wraps, the conclusion of the first season laid a strong foundation for the story to continue. The finale saw Dexter Morgan embracing his destiny as a vigilante killer after dealing with the villain Leon Prater.
