The award-winning comedy series Jury Duty is returning with a brand-new season. The show will move from the courtroom to a corporate retreat. Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat is scheduled to premiere on March 20, 2026.
This new season repeats the show’s unique formula. It will focus on a regular person who has no idea they are surrounded by actors in a completely staged situation. The first season followed Ronald Gladden through a fake jury trial. This time, the action takes place at a family-owned hot sauce company.
Release Schedule and Streaming Information
The new season will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. This is a change from the first season, which originally aired on the now-closed Amazon Freevee service. The show will be available for streaming in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Episodes will be released in batches over three weeks.
- March 20, 2026: The first three episodes launch.
- March 27, 2026: Two new episodes are added.
- April 3, 2026: The season concludes with a three-episode finale.
New Season Concept and Story Details
Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat keeps the core idea but changes the setting. The story follows Anthony, a recently hired temporary worker. He believes he is attending a normal corporate offsite event for a hot sauce business. Anthony does not know the entire company, the retreat, and all his new colleagues are fake.
Every part of the experience, from meetings in conference rooms to social downtime, has been carefully planned by the producers. The main story conflict involves the company’s founder preparing to step down. This creates a clash between big corporate ambitions and traditional small business values, with the future control of the company at stake.
โIf I go home and tell my parents about this stuff,โ Anthony says in a teaser for the season, โtheyโre going to be like, โYouโre lying.โโ
Production Background and Cast Changes
The second season was filmed secretly roughly a year ago in Agoura Hills, a suburb of Los Angeles. The producers kept the project very quiet to protect the premise, ensuring the real person at the center, Anthony, would not discover the truth.
While the format is the same, the cast will see a significant shift. James Marsden, who played a fictionalized version of himself in the first season and earned an Emmy nomination, is not a member of the cast for Company Retreat. However, he remains involved as an executive producer. The new season will feature a completely different ensemble of actors pretending to be Anthony’s bosses and coworkers.
The creative team from the first season returns. The series is co-created and executive produced by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, both known for their work on The Office. Jake Szymanski returns as director. They are joined by executive producers including David Bernad, Ruben Fleischer, and Nicholas Hatton.
