Suga allegedly fell off his electric scooter, prompting a patrolling police officer to approach him. The officer administered a breathalyzer test, which showed a blood alcohol content of 0.227%, significantly exceeding the legal limit for license revocation, set at 0.08%.

At the time of the incident, the police did not recognize Suga as a BTS member. Due to his intoxicated condition, they could not conduct a comprehensive investigation. Their actions were limited to the breathalyzer test, after which Suga was sent home.

The authorities are now coordinating with Suga to determine the date of his formal appearance for further questioning. The police aim to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the exact amount of alcohol consumed.

Suga’s Military Service and Upcoming Summons

Suga began his mandatory military service in March 2024. He initially entered the Nonsan Training Center in South Chungcheong Province for basic training. Currently, he is serving as a social service worker, with his discharge date scheduled for June 2025.

The incident has raised concerns, as Suga’s military service is ongoing. The police have stated that the investigation is necessary to ensure that all relevant details are thoroughly examined.
