The latest episode of The Traitors delivered on host Alan Cumming‘s promise of being one of the most dramatic in the show’s history. In Season 4 Episode 7, titled “The Black Banquet,” a murder was executed in front of everyone, alliances were shattered, and a major traitor was sent home. The fallout has left the remaining players reeling and set the stage for an intense final stretch of the game.

What Happened at The Black Banquet on The Traitors?

The episode centered on a lavish dinner party hosted by Alan Cumming, which he warned would see history repeat itself. He tasked the traitorsโ€”Lisa Rinna, Rob Rausch, and Candiace Dillard Bassettโ€”with committing a murder in plain sight. Their weapon was a cursed amulet, which one of them had to wear. The first faithful to touch it would be killed that night.

Lisa Rinna volunteered for the job, calling it the “Super Bowl of murders”. She arrived at the banquet in a dramatic outfit featuring the amulet. Her shortlist of potential victims included former Survivor winners Yam Yam Arocho and Natalie Anderson, as well as Kristen Kish. As the party began, players were on high alert, wary of accepting food or drinks from each other. Rinna successfully tricked someone into touching the brooch by pretending the pin was loose and needed help.

Midway through the meal, Cumming entered with a story about the “Legend of the Black Dinner,” a treacherous feast from Scottish history. He revealed a murder had already occurred but introduced a twist: two vials of an antidote were available. The group had to quickly decide which two players should drink them to potentially save the cursed victim. This led to frantic arguments and panic.

“If you really want it just f–in’ drink it,” Maura Higgins yelled at Natalie Anderson, who was pleading for one of the antidotes.

Natalie Anderson and Kristen Kish ultimately drank the potions. However, in a shocking reveal, Alan Cumming announced that Yam Yam Arocho was the cursed player. As masked guards dragged him from the room, Yam Yam used his final words to accuse Lisa Rinna.

“Lisa! It was Lisa who kissed me!” Yam Yam yelled as he was taken away.

The Morning After and a Major Game Advantage

With Yam Yam murdered, the game continued with heightened suspicion. The three traitors were the first to arrive at breakfast the next morning, where tension was immediate. Lisa Rinna confronted Rob Rausch for voting against her at the previous round table, seeing it as a betrayal. Rob defended his move as necessary to maintain his cover as a faithful. Rinna asked both Rob and Candiace to help defend her against Yam Yam’s dying accusation.

The day’s mission required players to race up a steep hill, collecting heavy gold rocks to add to the prize pot. The six who collected the most goldโ€”Rob Rausch, Colton Underwood, Stephen Colletti, Natalie Anderson, Mark Ballas, and Eric Namโ€”competed for a powerful new advantage: the dagger. This item grants its holder two votes at any one of the next four round tables.

Because he collected the most gold, Rob Rausch had an advantage in the dagger game. He correctly guessed that Natalie Anderson was hiding the dagger and won it for himself. He then formed a secret pact with the other five competitors, who agreed not to reveal who held the power.

Lisa Rinna Banished at the Round Table

Suspicion toward Lisa Rinna was already high following Yam Yam’s murder and his final accusation. At the round table discussion, players debated two main suspects: Lisa Rinna and Natalie Anderson. Natalie came under fire for her desperate grab for the antidote and for a critical slip of the tongue earlier in the day.

“We killed one, we murdered oneโ€”I mean, we banished one,” Natalie said in front of other players, mistakenly using the traitors’ terminology.

However, Rob Rausch made a strategic and decisive argument against his fellow traitor. He pointed out that Yam Yam, as a murdered faithful, had no reason to lie with his final words. This logic swayed the group. Rob himself voted to banish Lisa, alongside a majority of the others. In a surprising move, Candiace Dillard Bassett cast a single vote against Rob, a clear sign of their fractured alliance.

With nine votes, Lisa Rinna was banished. On the Circle of Truth, she gave an emotional farewell.

“I am the most iconic, legendary, Traitor!” Rinna declared, confirming her role.

In a final confessional, she addressed Rob directly: “Rob, damn you. Damn you”. She also expressed gratitude for the experience, noting how meaningful it was after her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Fallout and What’s Next on The Traitors

Lisa Rinna’s banishment leaves only two original traitors in the game: Rob Rausch and Candiace Dillard Bassett. Trust between them is completely broken. After the vote, Candiace did not hold back her feelings about Rob’s strategy.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have a snake on our hands,” Candiace said in a confessional. “He is willing to betray the people that helped him. He made certain, vicious choices that will have dire consequences for him”.

Rob acknowledged the new conflict, stating he had no idea how he and Candiace would work together moving forward. Candiace has vowed to fight back.

“The bad bitch that is Candiace is ready to play a motherf–ing game. I have to take the snake down and cut him off at the head,” she said.

The remaining faithful players are Dorinda Medley, Maura Higgins, Colton Underwood, Natalie Anderson, Mark Ballas, Kristen Kish, Stephen Colletti, Tara Lipinski, Johnny Weir, and Eric Nam. With Rob in possession of the hidden dagger and a clear rift between the traitors, the game is more unpredictable than ever.
