The upcoming Korean remake of the Hollywood hit “The Intern” is building more excitement with new character stills. The film has introduced four new cast members who will work alongside Han So Hee and Choi Min Sik at the fictional company WOO22.
Park Ye Ni, Im Sung Kyun, Kim Yo Han, and Yoon Sang Jung have joined the ensemble, each bringing their own style to the office comedy. The movie is set to hit theaters on September 16.
Park Ye Ni Takes on the Role of a Driven MD
Park Ye Ni plays Yoo Jin, a managing director who knows her job well. Her character is proactive and never gives up until she finishes her tasks. Yoo Jin also acts as a dependable senior colleague who helps new employees settle into the company.

Im Sung Kyun takes on the character Jun Hyung, who leads the MD team alongside Yoo Jin. Jun Hyung knows how to handle any situation quickly. He sometimes uses shortcuts to get things done.
Even though Jun Hyung and Yoo Jin argue often, they share an interesting bond as senior and junior colleagues. Their back-and-forth brings a lively and funny feel to the movie. Im Sung Kyun’s character is described as someone skilled at handling office politics.
Kim Yo Han and Yoon Sang Jung Play the New Interns
Kim Yo Han plays Joo Sung, a friendly intern who joins the company at the same time as Gi Ho (Choi Min Sik). Joo Sung is outgoing and becomes the first person to welcome Gi Ho. He helps Gi Ho adjust to the company’s digital tools and culture.

“The Intern” is a Korean remake of the 2015 Hollywood movie starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. The story follows Gi Ho (Choi Min Sik), a 70-year-old man with 37 years of work experience, who joins a fashion startup as a senior intern.
Han So Hee plays Sun Woo, the workaholic CEO who started the company. Her fashion brand became successful within just three years. The movie shows how people from different generations and job levels work together in an office.

Strong Pre-Release Buzz
The film is already making waves before its release. According to the Integrated Movie Ticket Network, “The Intern” ranked first in advance ticket sales for Korean movies as of September 2. The first and second trailers together have crossed 20 million views.
Promotional content featuring the lead actors has also received strong responses. A video starring Han So Hee got 6.9 million views in just six days. The movie is directed by Kim Do Young, who previously made the film “What If We…?”.
Director Kim Do Young shared his thoughts on working with the cast. He said,
“Simply watching Choi Min Sik blend in with the younger actors was moving in itself.”
Han So Hee described Choi Min Sik as someone who “possesses both a cool side and an untainted innocence”. Choi Min Sik compared the film to “the gentle ripples that spread when a stone is thrown into water”.
