EVERGLOW has officially ended their contract with Yuehua Entertainment, their agency since debut. The news was confirmed by Yuehua on May 13, 2025, with the groupโ€™s exclusive contracts ending in June 2025. While the agency described the decision as mutual, reports suggest financial disputes and inconsistent promotions played a role. Member Sihyeon later reassured fans that EVERGLOW will continue as a group despite leaving Yuehua.

Yuehua Entertainment released a statement thanking fans for their support.

“After careful discussion with EVERGLOW, we have decided to go our separate ways while wishing the best for each otherโ€™s futures. We sincerely cheer on the new beginnings of EVERGLOW, who has shared many memories with us over a long period of time.”

The agency did not clarify whether EVERGLOW would disband, leading to initial confusion. However, Sihyeon clarified the groupโ€™s future during a TikTok Live session.

“Everglow will stay a group, weโ€™re just leaving the company. All members want to stay together!”

EVERGLOW debuted in 2019 with the hit song “Bon Bon Chocolat” and gained international fame with tracks like “Adios”, “DUN DUN”, and “LA DI DA”. Despite their success, the group faced long hiatuses, with only two singles released in 2023 and 2024. Member Yiren previously claimed she had not been paid in six years, raising concerns about Yuehuaโ€™s management.

Fans, known as Forevers, expressed mixed reactions. Some celebrated the groupโ€™s independence, while others worried about future promotions.

EVERGLOWโ€™s last release under Yuehua was “Zombie” in August 2024. The group also completed tours in Europe and North America that year. Industry experts note that leaving a major agency is risky, but some groups like GOT7 and MAMAMOO have succeeded independently.
