“Justice is not a privilege, it’s a right,” states IPQ, the current agency of the popular band OMEGA X, as they take legal action against Spire Entertainment and a YouTuber.
In October 2022, while OMEGA X was touring the U.S., a shocking video surfaced online. An eyewitness, identified as @hwi_418, reported seeing Spire Entertainment’s CEO Kang Seong Hee physically abusing the band members. This incident occurred amidst allegations of tour mishandling by MC Entertainment.

The accusations against Kang didn’t stop there. She was later exposed for further mistreatment against OMEGA X, including forcing sick members to perform, compelling members to drink, and even sexual assault. Disturbingly, Kang was also revealed to have publicly expressed inappropriate feelings for member Yechan while he was underage.
In January 2023, OMEGA X won their lawsuit against Spire Entertainment, leading to the suspension of their contracts. By May 2023, the contracts were officially terminated, freeing the band to sign with a new agency, IPQ.
Despite the mounting evidence against her, Kang continued her attempts to manipulate public opinion. In September 2023, more of her inappropriate behavior was exposed.
Recently, she accused Hwichan of sexual assault, a claim that was refuted by both OMEGA X and IPQ. Explosive text messages were revealed in the process.
Now, IPQ has released a detailed update in both Korean and English regarding OMEGA X and Spire Entertainment. It confirmed that Kang “committed assault, verbal abuse, molestation, and intimidation.” This negatively impacted the members’ health.
Spire Entertainment and YouTuber In Ji Woong were identified by IPQ as responsible for spreading many falsehoods. In response, OMEGA X’s agency is taking legal action.
Kang’s alleged sexual assault and defamation of Hwichan are currently under investigation. IPQ has committed to revealing the truth, taking legal action, and ensuring justice for OMEGA X.
