Get ready for a superhero story where saving the world comes with a receipt. The new Netflix series Cashero introduces a team of heroes whose incredible powers are tied directly to their everyday spending. The show is set to start streaming on December 26, 2025. This character guide breaks down the unique heroes an god the actors who bring them to life.
The Main Cast Of Netflix’s Cashero
The series is built around four main characters who form an unconventional team of heroes. Their powers are not fueled by cosmic energy or radioactive accidents but by much more mundane resources: cash, alcohol, and calories.
Lee Jun-ho leads the cast as Kang Sang-ung, an ordinary civil servant working at a community center. His biggest dream is a simple one—to save enough money to buy his own home. His life changes when he discovers he has super strength. There’s a major catch: his power is directly linked to the amount of physical cash he has on him. Every punch thrown or feat of strength performed literally costs him money, draining his wallet and jeopardizing his dream.
Playing Sang-ung’s longtime girlfriend is Kim Hye-jun. She takes on the role of Kim Min-suk, a pragmatic and sharp-minded person who is exceptionally good with numbers. While she finds her boyfriend’s expensive superpower highly inefficient, she becomes his most crucial supporter, using her mathematical skills to help calculate the cost of his heroics.
The team expands when Sang-ung meets Byeon Ho-in, played by veteran actor Kim Byong-chul. Ho-in is a lawyer who leads a secret Korean organization for people with supernatural abilities. His own power activates only when he drinks alcohol. He recruits Sang-ung to help fight a dangerous group known as the Criminal Association, which targets people with powers.
Rounding out the core quartet is Kim Hyang-gi as Bang Eun-mi. Her character possesses telekinetic abilities, but they require a specific fuel source: calories. Her power is strongest when she’s eaten, with her favorite power-boosting snacks being bread and pastries. She becomes a reliable and powerful ally to Sang-ung and Ho-in in their fight.
The Supporting Characters Joining The Fight
Beyond the core four, the drama features other key figures. Actress Kang Han-na joins the cast in the supporting role of Joanna, the daughter of a wealthy chaebol family. Actor Lee Chae-min is also part of the series, playing a character named Jonathan. Their specific connections to the main heroes’ mission add more layers to the story.

The Story Behind The Superhero Series
Cashero is based on a popular Kakao webtoon created by Team Befar. The adaptation is directed by Lee Chang-min and written by Lee Jae-in and Jeon Chan-ho. The production is a collaboration between SLL and Drama House Studio.
The central plot follows Kang Sang-ung as he struggles to balance his costly superpowers with his modest daily life and financial goals. After being recruited by Byeon Ho-in, he and his new teammates must protect their ordinary lives while battling the villains of the Criminal Association, who threaten to throw the world into chaos. The show explores a relatable and humorous question: what does it truly cost to be a hero?
“What would you spend to save the world? Your time, your safety, or every last won in your wallet?”
The series finished filming in late 2024 and will be available for streaming worldwide on Netflix starting December 26, 2025.
