Love Island USA Season 8 introduced its Casa Amor twist on June 21, 2026, bringing six new bombshells into the villa to test the existing couples. Among the new arrivals was Alannah Keyser, a 21-year-old film student from Miami. Within hours of her appearance, a 10-second video began circulating on social media showing a woman who appears to be Keyser mouthing the N-word while singing along to Roddy Ricch’s song “The Box” at a house party.
The video, reportedly from an old Snapchat post with the caption “Alannah’s Friday in Miami,” has not been independently verified. Additional screenshots surfaced that allegedly show Keyser using the racial slur in an Instagram comment and a Snapchat message from October 2022. One screenshot reportedly shows her writing “n—–ian” as a pun on the word “Nigerian.”
Viewers Notice Different Treatment of Black Contestants
The controversy deepened when viewers pointed out how Keyser behaved during the Casa Amor heart rate challenge. She kissed white contestants Caleb McDaniel, Bryce Dettloff, and Zach Georgiou on the mouth and allowed them to touch her suggestively. However, with the three Black contestantsโKC Chandler, Corbin Mims, and Sincere Rheaโshe only kissed KC’s neck and told him “That’s all you’re getting” before giving brief dances to Corbin and Sincere.
The other villa women noticed the difference immediately. One fan wrote on X: “Nah I’m sorry that Alannah chick has GOT to go. She was straight up racist to the black guys during that challenge. That’s a fact.” Another viewer commented: “Alannah not only did that, she’s also refusing to engage with the men of color the same way she does with the white men. It’s blatant racism.”
Friend and Father Defend Keyser
Keyser’s friend, Nick Rogers, posted a TikTok video defending her on June 22, calling her “very caring and the nicest person ever.” He claimed the screenshots circulating online are “fake” and suggested they could have been manipulated with AI technology. Regarding the video, Rogers said, “I cannot tell whether she is saying the N-word or not.” He added that “it was a different time” when the video was filmed, explaining that the word “was used a lot more freely in past years, like around 2017, 2016.”
Keyser’s father, Stephane Keyser, also spoke to TMZ to defend his daughter, describing her as an “educated sweetheart” and insisting she is not racist. He claimed the family has always had friends from diverse backgrounds.

Pattern of Controversies Plagues Love Island USA
This is not the first time Love Island USA has faced a racism controversy. Before Season 8 premiered on June 2, 2026, contestant Vasana Montgomery was removed from the cast after videos surfaced showing her using the N-word. During Season 7, Yulissa Escobar was removed after podcast clips emerged in which she repeatedly used the slur, and Cierra Ortega was also cut after past social media posts containing an anti-Asian slur resurfaced.
As of June 22, 2026, Peacock has not issued a statement about the controversy or confirmed whether Keyser will remain on the show. Fans continue to demand her removal on social media. One person wrote on Reddit: “Are the casting directors just terrible at their job or is it a rite of passage to be a bigot???”
