Prime Video’s Reacher wrapped its fourth season with a finale that pushed Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher to his physical limits. The episode, titled “Cut,” landed on September 16, 2026, and delivered a brutal, 15-minute fight sequence that left multiple major characters dead and changed the course of the series.

The finale picked up right after Congressman John Sampson’s sacrifice. Sampson tackled suicide bomber Tomas Waberi into the Delaware River, stopping the toxin from spreading at his own fundraiser but losing his life in the process. That act set the stage for Reacher, Tamara Green (Sydelle Noel), and Jacob Merrick (Christopher Marquette) to hunt down the remaining threat: Lila Hoth (Agnez Mo) and Amisha Hoth (Anggun).

Reacher, Tamara and Jacob Track Lila to an Abandoned Restaurant

After Sampson’s death, Reacher became a wanted man. Security at the fundraiser moved to arrest him, but Tamara and Jacob arrived in a van to pull him out. The trio knew Lila and Amisha would not stop. They needed another demonstration of the toxin to sell it on the dark web.

Reacher quickly figured out where the Hoths were hiding. The police had already searched an old restaurant tied to the case, so Lila and Amisha returned there, knowing no one would look twice. Reacher, Tamara, and Jacob prepared to attack on their own, with no backup and no time to waste.

“We don’t know who we can trust, and I’m not going to let anyone bury this,” Elsbeth Sampson (Kathleen Robertson) said after her husband’s death. “We are going to find who killed John and make them f**king pay.”

A 15-Minute Fight Sequence That Rivals John Wick

The core of the finale was an extended action sequence that started about 14 minutes into the episode and ran for roughly 15 minutes. Reacher, Tamara, and Jacob broke into the restaurant under the cover of a thunderstorm. They split up: Reacher went upstairs to draw attention, while Tamara and Jacob headed to the lab to secure the toxin.

Reacher’s fight against Lila and Amisha’s henchmen was relentless. He got his hand nailed to the ground and ripped it free to slap a man with the exposed nails. He beheaded a goon in an elevator. He pushed through wave after wave of attackers until only Lila and Amisha remained.

The two women circled him with karambits—small, curved knives—slashing at him from every angle. Reacher used a block of wood to keep their blades away, but he was losing blood fast. Lila taunted him about how he would soon pass out, describing how she would hurt him once he was helpless.

Reacher managed to throw Amisha out of a window, sending her plunging to what looked like her death. That left him alone with Lila.

Lila Hoth Dies by Her Own Toxin

Lila kept stabbing Reacher as he grew weaker. She moved in for the final blow, twisting the knife and delivering one last cruel line.

“I don’t know what I enjoy more,” Lila said. “F**king you or killing you.”

Reacher spotted a syringe of the toxin nearby. Just before Lila could finish him, he stabbed her with her own poison. “I know which one I liked more,” he fired back.

Lila died a slow death, killed by the very weapon she had planned to unleash on thousands of people.

Tamara and Jacob Stop a Nightclub Massacre

Tamara and Jacob had their own battle in the lab. They killed the chemist and fought through gunfire. Amisha’s remaining goon grabbed a vial of the toxin and a respirator, planning to release it in a packed nightclub using the fog machine.

Tamara and Jacob chased him down. They reached the nightclub just as he was about to drop the toxin into the fog machine. They shot him in the head. The toxin vial fell to the floor and landed on the seats without breaking.

Tamara and Jacob retrieved the toxin, preventing a mass-casualty attack.

Amisha Survives the Fall and Faces Jacob

After Reacher collapsed from blood loss outside, Officer Baker showed up and aimed his gun at Reacher. Before he could fire, Amisha appeared—she had survived the window fall—and slit Baker’s throat.

Jacob arrived in time and shot Amisha. He had every reason to kill her. Amisha had murdered his sister, Anna Merrick, and had spent the season tormenting him. But Jacob stopped himself. He decided to arrest her instead of taking revenge.

“In Season 4 of ‘Reacher,’ Lila Hoth is a layered, manipulative villain who seduces Jack Reacher while hiding a trauma-bonded, sociopathic past,” Collider noted in its breakdown of the finale.

Agnez Mo Trained for Months to Play Lila

Agnez Mo, the Indonesian singer-songwriter and actress who played Lila, spoke about the physical demands of the role. She trained for months to master the karambit, the weapon her character wielded in the finale fight.

“I don’t run away from danger, and you don’t seem to either,” Mo recalled as the line that captured the strange bond between Lila and Reacher.

The role marked a return to acting for Mo after 15 years. She said the experience reignited her passion for the craft.

What Happened to the Toxin Formula

The formula for the weapon came from a photograph on Anna Merrick’s USB drive. The image showed a whiteboard in the background of a 1990s photo featuring Chief of Staff Nolan Cahill, Congressman John Sampson, and General Putra. Modern AI technology made the blurry formula readable.

The toxin was derived from the seeds of a native Indonesian plant. Lila carried those seeds in her bracelet. She and Amisha recreated the formula and found a way to make it airborne, with the goal of selling it to terrorist organizations worldwide.
