Season 3 Just Ended With No Renewal News
The final episode of season 3 aired on September 20, 2026. The season ran for 12 episodes from July 5 to September 20. It adapted material from the manga, introducing new girlfriends like Chiyo Iin and Nadi. Voice actors Kaori Ishihara and Ayana Taketatsu joined the cast for these roles. The season ended with a story focused on Shizuka and her difficult family situation, which received a mixed response from viewers.
Bibury Animation Studios has not confirmed a fourth season yet. This is not unusual for this franchise. Between season 1 and season 2, there was a gap of more than one year. The gap between season 2 and season 3 was even longer. The pattern suggests that an announcement could come later, depending on how well season 3 performs in sales and streaming numbers.

The 100 Girlfriends manga is written by Rikito Nakamura and illustrated by Yukiko Nozawa. It started in Weekly Young Jump in December 2019 and is still running. By September 2026, the manga had reached 26 volumes and more than 240 chapters. The story is nowhere near its conclusion. The anime has only shown a small portion of the 100 girlfriends Rentaro is destined to meet. So far, the anime has introduced around 17 girlfriends.
This means there is more than enough material for several more seasons. The manga continues to release new chapters, though the pace has slowed temporarily. In February 2026, artist Yukiko Nozawa announced she was going on maternity leave after the birth of her child. She had prepared some chapters in advance, but the release schedule will be slower until she returns. She has stated that she plans to return to the manga and that the series will continue.
The manga is available in English through Seven Seas Entertainment. Volume 17 was released on March 17, 2026. Volume 18 is scheduled for June 23, 2026. The series is also available digitally on Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform.
What Season 4 Would Need
A fourth season would depend on several factors. The production committee looks at manga sales, streaming numbers, and merchandise revenue. The 100 Girlfriends has performed well on Crunchyroll, where all three seasons are available. The English dub of season 3 began streaming on July 19, 2026. The show has a dedicated fanbase that actively discusses future girlfriends and voice casting online.
The growing cast is another factor. Each new season adds more characters, which makes production more complex. Group scenes involve many voice actors, and each new girlfriend needs a unique design and personality. This could affect how quickly a new season is made, but it does not make a renewal less likely.
