On December 31, rumors started spreading that Lee Jong Suk might star in Che Tam Ja. This drama is based on a Naver webtoon and is about a spy agency called Chetamin during the Joseon era, when King Sejong ruled. The spies in this agency did important work, like spying to make the country stronger and keeping an eye on the Jurchen dynasty in China.
The webtoon’s story mainly follows a character named Gwiyeong. After the Jurchen people killed his family when he was young, he became a Chetamin to get revenge. If Lee Jong Suk agrees to be in the drama, he will probably play this character.
When the Drama Might Come Out
The drama is rumored to be released in 2026. People are saying that director Kim Han Sol, known for Korea-Khitan War, will direct it along with screenwriter Yoon Pil Jun. There’s also a rumor that the drama will be on Netflix. This news mostly came from fans online, not official sources, but fans hope Lee Jong Suk will take the role.
